Just home from a week with the witch- ding dong she's dead!  Just wanted to pass along- as a long time lurker of the discussion board- a thank you for the kind words I find here when I returned. Also, to the people of Escondido and Rancho Bernardo and thereabouts thank you so much for the concern and gratitude that was so evident this last week. To those of you who might have missed the stories on the news, the amount of food, beverage, and other items that just spontaneously showed up at our fire camp (kit carson park) was truly amazing. I cannot speak to the conditions down at Gillespie, but I doubt it was different. Thanks again!
Now, that out of the way, after a week of 24 hour shifts and sleeping here and there (read: cots, dirt, lawns, concrete, asphalt) I could definitely use some pampering- any ladies offering fireman specials?
