So, "someone" told me the other day that you should ask your partner to be if they're LE, and that they have to say "yes" if they are?  Anyone know if that's true?

Ask yourself this piercing question: if the answer to your question was yes, how could LE ever conduct any undercover operations?  The answer is ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!  They lie all the time.

Maybe in the movies or on TV, but trust me they don't have to tell you.  And btw... 'NO' it isnt considered entrapment.

Completely untrue.  The police can legally lie to you all the live-long day.

Oh, that's a good one.  Thanks...you made my day.  Police have to tell the truth.  Tee hee hee hee.

Amazing how crap like this sticks around.  That's one of those urban legends that won't die.

The "once they touch" theory is bogus.  B.S NOT true
There is nothing that prohibits that other than the public questioning police "doing" providers or "clients."

I know more than one instance where providers were touched and busted and one instance where a "client" was touched and busted!

Very good question. But if you make it to the court, they will deny it. Tell me, Which one will you have more creditability at the court, the San Diego Police or YOU? Not to mention that I've been thru the situation.

I've heard (secondhand) of LE having sex with a provider, THEN busting her!  Our tax $ at work!

they have a certain amount of leeway in what they can and cannot do.

You'll never get them on entrapment, no matter what you do. The basic court theory is that your presence alone is enough to establish that you are looking to engage in illegal activity.

I suspect that internal affairs would take a dim view of anything physical occurring, assuming they initiate first contact. However, it would be he said/she said. heresay evidence in court-and in court the officer is always presumed to be telling the truth (which is why your only chance of beating a traffic citation is if the officer doesn't appear to testify).

As I understood it, whne LE sets up a sting, it is automatically assumed that you intend to commit the act, therefore you are presumed guilty. It's another way LE can impound and sell your car when you pickup a SW in a sting, even though you have not been convicted of solicitation.

Safest advice is to be very wary of incall situations where the girl is too explicit on the phone. LE stings rarely extend to outcalls, there's too much work for too little payoff (consider the avergae amount of time from initiating the outcall until the final bust is a minimum of 90 minutes for one misdemeanor arrest). Plus, I'm not sure what the aspects are about warrants for them to enter your home/hotel.

They'd rather set things up so you come to them. Also, move outside SD city limits and you'll see the incidents drop off. EL Cajon and La Mesa LE are going after massage parlors, street girls, and any local girls.

I know it actually happened to a provider awhile back when they're busting the massage parlor. I offered her for the attorney and court fee, but she didn't want to go thru with it.

"CRIME"

wasting our tax dollars.  they should spend that money on really getting people who abuse kids sexually...thats much worse than consenting adults at massage parlors, etc...
