I ran across a listing on Craigslist that seems really tempting. I have exchanged emails with the person who asks if I want to get together. She claims to have never heard of TER and can't send pictures now because of a computer problem.
Should I forget it or take one for the team?

First - when a provider on CL says that "she can't send pictures", i have always found, experimentally, that she was not 'photogenic', to say it politely.
