Is anyone else starting to get calls from providers lately? I have got 3 calls this month from girls I have seen before (once when I was sitting down to dinner with my wife, glad I didn't use the speaker phone). One even offered a freebie.

Maybe they have been taking marketing classes at school....

And say things like, "I'm coming to town" about six or seven times and then follow it up with "I'm here now" at least four to five times. It seems to work for most of those from out of town anyhow.

I'd be sure to tell ladies not to call you, if it's an issue. It's a typically slow time. Look how slow the board has been. Commonly girls will contact old clients when it's slow. Dinner time is never cool. That could have been smoother, like email. I'm sure bells have been ringing all over lately. Freebies? Maybe they wanted your Mr.Happy.

I didn't know providers do cold-call, I guess they are learning marketing.
I didn't receive calls from any provider.  I wish they call me, I would have help them out with business.  I could use a couple of discounted session this month; althrough freebie sounded strange.  In fact, I emailed a couple of providers and no reply.

I know I can't be the only local girl who thinks.."Please don't come visit. Make a living on your own turf."  When girls come to visit, they require so much more from our gents for proof; which turns into more calls and emails requesting references from me.  I know the men have to scramble to come up with legit "friends" so, I provide the references as a courtesy for the men, without any thanks or gratitude from visitors. **No personal attack or angst intended toward any specific person, generalization only**

I haven't gotten any, but its something I would dread.  One of the major reasons for using a provider is for security or confidentiality. Those sorts of calls are an inexcusable breach of that confidentiality.

First- wow being offered a freebie.  Lucky you.  A couple of comments in this thread demonstrate a little animosity towards our visitors.  I'm glad we have the visitors.  I've had trouble hooking up with the locals and find they can be tougher to get an appointments with than the out of towners. In fact many do not even return emails or phone calls.  Not sure why that is but that is the way it is with me.

I know I am probably the hardest to contact of the local providers. (or so I have been told by many) I do not answer my phone when my son is visiting me, he is very nosey, "who was that? what did they want?" I have learned it is best to just not answer calls when I am with him.  I also do not answer the phone on other occasions due to privacy.  I feel that, most of the time when somebody wants to see me, they want to see me that day, or they seem to set appointments by email.  If I can't call them back at least the same day, I just don't. UNLESS they say in the message to call back anytime, today, tomorrow.  I figure they already took care of the urge for some fun.  I would hate to return a call several hours later and have a wife answer your phone or inturrupt something your doing.  I always ask, "Is this a good time to have called?" right after I identify myself. Anyway, just wanted to comment on not returning calls, as I know I am one who does it.  I don't do it to be rude, but if I am busy and can't return a call in a reasonable amount of time, I am just respecting your privacy when I don't return the call.  But please feel free to call the next time you have time. Yes!  I have received 5-7 calls from a provider I called once and never met.  Tacky!  And ridiculous. Will never see her now.  Try giving them a number you'd never want them to call.  Also, there is NO confidentiality.  Many providers are only in this for the $$ and have no "loyalty" to clients. I only give a number that is personal to providers I have seen multiple times and trust.
