Is it just me or does it seem unusual to be getting calls from providers.  Recently, I've had several calls by providers soliciting business (some repeatedly).  I don't think I'm doing anything out of the ordinary.  I'd like others feedback, thanks.

Damn son...that good eh...told you!....to have em call you..over and over.....and yaddyada!...Here's my opinion...(if anyones really cares) They should never call....unless you both are VERY close friends and have already been told that calling would be fine.
Secondly.....it shows how desperate someone is for fun..I mean hello...anyone have class?...just my opinion.....Hey...maybe you can change your number...LOL...just kidding.:)

a sign of the times perhaps (many have complained that it's 'slow'); or they feel comfortable enough with you to do so (which can be good).
I prefer to be chased - more fun.. :)

Once in awhile, but only from someone I've seen on a regular basis.

Personally, I think it's bad form unless you have told them it's okay to call you when they're slow.

Given the track record of slow to no call backs in this town by the better providers, I find the chasing business a sign that prices have gotten to high and the market of interested customers dwindling...from a purely business case model.

I agree with the concensous that providers calling hobbyists is bad form. However, if business is so slow, then I don't understand why many providers are slow to return calls and emails. Being carefull and screening is one thing, but a prompt and curtious response would also be a nice change.

Personally, I've been trying to get a hold of a couple of the popular and well reviewed providers in the area, and having a heck of a time getting anyone to return my message... I don't think I'm doing anything wrong, but sheesh... it seems really hard to get a date these days! Especially when I'm interested in a 4 hour session.

At any rate, business can't be that bad...

The only time it's happened to me is when I had a reglar a few years ago and she was going to be gone for a month.  She just wanted to know if I wanted to get together before she went.

If it is slow maybe providers should lower their rates!

Obviously, it’s a compliment in economically hard times. I have a few providers that contact me when they’re running specials and if I’m in town I’ll see them. I might add that these are providers I’m quite comfortable with and actually see exclusively. To get off the subject a tad I’ve often felt that local providers should offer a local rate. I know this practice is incorporated worldwide in cities committed to tourism dollars. An example would be at Torrey Pines golf course where residents pay a ($30-$40) lower fee to players outside of San Diego ($90-$140). Other cities dependant on tourist dollars offer local’s 5% or more in discounts at most businesses.  Perhaps providers might consider offering a resident discount when business is slow. Once again just my $.02 and a pound of sand!

sounds like the basic law of supply versus demand..so theoretically prices should fall..on an upen market..this market, being somewhat underground, or shall we say "sex on the black market" is much more resistant to the basic laws of economics..as as a result  much less effected to all but the most extreme market fluctuations..so prices are not falling, but on the flip side it's not a bad thing either. As other factors such as LE stepping up their efforts would drive prices thru the roof..as the resultant increased risk would effect the supply chain..   Another case in point to the insulation from the market..  if Gasoline was $3.00 a gallon in the us, but .50 cents a gallon in tj, everyone would be buying gas down south..your local gas station would see a marked decrease in sales, especially the stations in chula vista/ san ysidro.price would quickly fall or stations would be filing for bankruptcy..but with the black market thing..even with tj and increased le activity, bnuisness in sd may be down a bit..but still flourishes at $250. + an hour here, but then again..if I could see shay or grace for $75.00-$100.00 an hour..I would be a lot more "active"

Girls that I've seen, usually several times.  I figure, like most of you that it is simply a sign of the times economically.  And, I really don't mind getting the calls but I feel bad when I don't want to make an appointment.

"And, I really don't mind getting the calls but I feel bad when I don't want to make an appointment."  whats this world coming to when GFE includes guilt trips?????

No, at that point it goes beyond the GFE and turns into the "GWE", (G*d-damned Wife Experience), all guilt and NO sex.

Well, my rates are as low as they're gonna get; very decent fair market value. In fact, many of my clients (granted, not from SD) have mentioned that they are rather low and have actually asked me WHY??

Sometimes I get an overwhelming number of calls, I am not the most organized person and it is hard to keep track of them all. Not sure which ones said to call back, which ones said not to. In general I only call those who called me first, it may be several days (or more unfortunatly) but I always say I am returning a call and ask if it is a bad time to call..  I try to return calls a quickly as possible, but often times my surroundings do not allow me to promptly.. in the car, cant hear, blaa blaa and blaa..

I am usually apprehensive to call back anyone after a day or two has elapsed, I want to do so but for some reason get embarassed?  I would like to know how you guys feel about this subject, how long afterwards is it appropriate for a provider to call return your call?  I would appreciate hearing from you on this matter...Kayla
