I posteded this on the national board and thought I'd try the local one to see what responses I get here.


I've been entertaining the idea of going to Bankok Thailand to explore all it's wonders and nightlife. I've looked at some of the tours, although they seem ligit they seem to be a little exspensive compared to going it alone. My question is to anyone who is experienced in this what is the best way to go for someone who has never been there before. I'm NOT interested in underaged girls or "Ladyboys". So how do I avoid/know these possible pit falls? What hotel to stay at that allows overnight guest. Etc...

Any information would be helpfull. Thanks.

You need to find Marshall, who has a world wide service, in which he sends lists of legit providers in each city. He lives in Thailand now, and oozes in women. He is on Craigslist, go to the web browser (on the SD list), and enter travel, you will find him in one of the links. I have his email somewhere, and will post it when I find it. He is amazing and he just wrote some lists for a guy going to Oslo.
