If you are looking for a place to hang out sure go there. But if you are looking for a hot time I suggest sticking to TER here.
Clubs: In San Diego there are two types. 18+ and 21+ The 21+ serve alcohol but are only topless. No pooter shots. The 18+ do not serve alcohol but they usually are very close by to a bar if you require an adult beverage. These places are fully nude. BE AWARE: the law in San Diego is that ladies may only give "air dances" which means NO GRINDING. Many many many do grind however be aware if for some reason they were being monitored while you are there you may get caught up in the club facing legal issues, fines or even being shut down temporarily. The odds are very against that happening but I did work as a dancer and one day I came into work and the lights were all on and gentlemen were being questioned about the dances and dancers. I hightailed it out of there after management said they had no questions for off shift contractors. The law also is 6 foot rule between you and a nude/semi-nude dancer. So don't expect any titties in your face or her clamping on the bar during her stage st.
That being said, Rosecrans area is pretty central for 4 clubs. Body Shot (18+? kinda skeezy as they do not require a permit to work there) Deja Vu (18+ they often have special events like iron stars or competitions) Pacers (formerly Hustler but lost the location due to a sexual harassment suit loss) Pure Platinum (south a bit from the other three but if you cab it and make a night of crawling about this is the one to end up at as you will be near downtown and that's where fun night life is)
The Pure Platinum by the airport on Pacific Highway is closed. It's now a golf shop. The Pure Platinum off the 163 is still open.
For strip clubs in San Diego, I would recommend Cheetah's and Goldfinger's. Cheetah's is $20/lapdance or $100 for 5 dances in the VIP room. Goldfinger's is $20/lapdance, $10/lapdance before 10PM, and $120 for 15 minutes in the VIP room.
San Diego does have strict laws about strip clubs, but I find that means it just wildly varies what kind of dance you're going to get. I've gotten the full range from pure air dance with no contact to going all the way with a dancer inside the club.
Sounds like it's better just to head to Tijuana....

Not that I am a fan of Mayor Bob at all, but to his credit, I doubt he would have had a woman arrested for getting too close at a strip club or for taking her medicinal Cocaine and Ecstasty for a chronic bad mood.

Thurs-Sun there are a TON of extremely HOT girls @ Goldfinger's. You will find your type! The majority of them are very young (under 25). The VIP room (called the G lounge) is $120 for 5 songs (6 if you wait for DJ call outs). They do a full contact VEGAS style lap dance in there with lingerie on OR they can dance fully nude 6' away. All the girls seem to let you touch them everywhere you want... although some don't let you touch their kitty. The gals there def know how to get you off before the dance is over. YMMV with certain girls.
The no touching is a San Diego Municipal Code Ordinance as opposed to Penal Code 647(b) prohibiting the soliciting or agreeing to sexual touching for compensation.
I'm sure at the strip clubs, as on this board, no one breaks the law.
Really? I remember recently butting heads with our heads and mouths and in need of some of toothpaste or mouthwash on an overnight with a provider and it seemed okay.
