I have to ask...

I have been living in San Diego for 20+years, and still, the only hourly hotel I am aware of in San Diego, or even San Diego County, is the one in Point Loma.  Is this it?

Sedona, you are so right on about SO many topics......I agree with you totally.  And you made me laugh out loud!  :)

I kind of like the Dolphin Hotel.  It is clean and the maid there once saved some money and jewelry that I had left there.
I like the mirrors everywhere and having a couple of different
porn stations.
There used to be a place called The Ebony, off of F St. that
was hourly.  It is kind of a dive place, but its hourly.

A little curious!?!  Why is a rented apartment in UTC - that guys go to for an hour (and half to leave 5 minutes early) - better than a hotel that rents rooms by the hour? Am I missing something?

I noticed that there was no real answer in that reply. I agree with the others. Whats the difference on going to an hourly place as opposed to a place that only rents out rooms by the hour? Both places put on clean sheets after each visit. That is more than many providers do who work out of thier residence. I'm not trying to base on anyone, but just wanted to get the facts out there.

to start, i apologize if i came off as passing judgement on the hourly thing.  i don't judge it, but realize it's just not my cup of tea.

while those hourly places evoke a feeling of "eeeewwwww" in me, i can see how others would find it convenient, cost efficient, and perfectly comfortable.  similarly, some people think that some of what i do in my operating style is unnecessary (the ambience, the location), while it feels just right to me.

so have fun and play safely, whether at the dolphin or the lodge. :)

Please, fill me in.  Tell me how paying $85 for one hour is better than $30 for the same hour.  Is it a machismo "I can waste money with the best of them" thing?

Sorry, but I love the one hour room and want to know how I disgust these ladies.

Marnee, cost efficiency is paramount to running a good and profitable business. There should be a balance between the operating cost and profit. Of course the ideal situation would be minimal operating cost with maximal profit in return... It's hard to do but it could be done. Or you could pass the cost along to your clients, but depending on the market/economy, it can backfire and hurt your business. On the other hand, you can end up with the selected few, as you've always desired :) Just wanted to pitch in my 2 cents ;)

I love that place. It is spotlessly clean, no fuzzy blankets and comforters that don't get cleaned between visits,.  I love the mirrors and the available porn is good stuff. There is no weird smell and the neighborhood is safe. For 27-30 it is a great and convenient place for those spontaneous afternoon hook ups. I say as I do with most things, don't knock it til ya try it.

I have lived here in San Diego now for almost a year, and I have heard good things about the Dolphin, like the clean rooms and porno(yeah, porno).  That gets my vote. www
