Does anyone else find it funny that the act of bringing a person across state lines for the purpose of engaging in prostitution violates the "Mann Act" ?

I seriously think that if it was not for the upcoming election, they (i.e., "Bonehead" Bush & "Asswipe" Ashcroft) would now be going after the "moral" issues just to appease and pander to the religious right. With the Patriot Act, they now have the framework, power and ability to do so too. Don't kid yourselves, our nutso President thinks he is "on a mission from God." He is as determined and focused as those fanatical Muslim terrorists.

Believe me, if "they" do win the election, then they will swiftly proceed just like former Attorney General Ed ("Don't call me fuckin' stupid, I am just arrogant") Meese did with his so-called Porn Committee and go after the "morality" issues. My, my, how soon you all forget!

Agencies could conceivably be nailed.

If a client brought a provider to him, or traveled with a provider, they could probably nail him.

But the independent providers who opt to initiate their own travel would be a stretch.

I suspect something more along the typical streetwalker/john type bust scenario, i.e.-work off the concept of embarrassment of going to trial. Plea bargain, etc. Recall the whole TBD situation? Several people ruined, but ultimaely the whole thing got tossed.
