Horse racing (especially a special day last September), Wine, Concerts at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium(mostly old time rock and roll, but am learning to like new artists), Wine, CD's and my collection of DVDs, Oh did I mention Wine?

Bit quite here so I came up with what I hope is an interesting and fun topic for my San Diego friends.

What are your hobbies other than this?
Do you collect?
Do you shop?
Do you boat? Golf? Build ships in bottles?

I have been a collector my whole life going from one love to another. I have always loved shoes and have begun a small collection. Shopping and live theater are two of my favorite ways to spend time with a friend or group of friends. Another little hobby or quirk is that I always take the hotel pen when I stay somewhere. I'm also a foodie! I love trying new foods and visiting new places. I would like to get back into tennis and get more active physically.

What about you?

Hi, Goldie!

I like this thread idea!
To respond, here are my hobbies.
I collect: comics, Hot Wheels (I'm a life-long gearhead), DVD's
I enjoy: anime & animation, driving, Facebook, going to the cinema, watching TV & writing.
Sports that I enjoy: Football, Baseball & NASCAR (watching), Bowling (participating)

Do we share any common ground? I sure hope so! :-)

COMICS!? Check! I have a lot! Mostly manga, not much DC or Marvel.

Hot wheels? How funny! I have a school friend who liked taking the cars and customizing them to have fun paint jobs but mini style!

DVDs and BluRay - omg I have a huge collection! I need a custom built shelving unit to house them and all my books! (also on my house to do list)

BOWLING! Count me in! My best game is a 172!

WOW!

Not only are you HOTT, but you're also an otaku, too!

I really enjoy all sorts of comics, anime & manga, too.  I'm also not really into the mainstream Marvel/DC stuff.

I'd really love to hear about what sort of comics, anime, manga & movies you're into.

It sounds like you're a pretty good bowler, too!  You're top score is very good.

[I'll try to e-mail you directly to discreetly reply to the rest of your answer to my post. :-)]

OMG hahahahaha yup imma nerdy girl.
Hope we can dial in some time to discuss the commonalities.
I can even show you the extent of my geekiness if you visit in north county! LOL

Let's hit some pins! How about a special bowling date followed by private time.
;)

I love motorsports. in particular, personal watercraft. I almost went into racing but knew it would kill my if I didn't get to the pro ranks, but all those guys that are pro are short, like jockeys, so I knew I didn't stand a chance. My skis are heavily modified, but very safe. The big one GPS'd at 79 mph last year and I hope to break 80 this year.

I also like my car, truck and motorcycle. My favorite motorcycle place is Death Valley.

I love mentoring young engineers. I have created opportunities for 3 guys in the last 2 years and watched them grow and make MONEY. It is a hobby/passion to me.

Music is my main passion and hobby. I would die without it. I love playing, collecting, talking on line about it, watching and listening to it and letting the good music get under my skin. I was accepted to Berklee, but thankfully did not go. All my musician friends who can play way better than I are close to starving. I own (as in, I bought) over 11000 tunes and songs.

My favorite places are San Diego, Death Valley, Lake Powell and the inside passage to Alaska.

I have some work passion around something called correlative analysis, but I'll let that one be for explanation. I get excited when it works well, so it is a hobby to me.

It is a good topic...a way to get to know each other on a more personal level!

You and I will have to have a private conversation about water and racing... My life might surprise you.

;)

I would love to talk music also some time - I have a friend in production and am working on possibly DJing in the future.

I have not forgotten :-)

I owe you more than a convo! Let me cycle thru this tax season, but I will get back to you. I don't renig on promises!

I love SU's but my friends don't and like long rides, so I have SD's. Havasu was outta control in the day, now it's a place to avoid. The cops don't even shut off their lights now....but those dudes have the worst job in the world, so I have respect for them..but i don't want to see them again :-)

Hey Goldie.  I guess I'm a foodie.  I like to cook, eat and practice Yoga so I can be a Foodie....Do you think we can connect?

Hmmmm.... I'm not sure... Heehee.
I have been enjoying new foods lately - recently exposed to Thai food and authentic Ramen!

I want to get into cooking more. My kitchen is on the "To Do" list. For now it's functional but not very well designed. Maybe we can make some cookies or bread... It would be fun to make something together then enjoy after!

Cooking agin! Lots of chefs out there!

Not really with you for cycling or gold (unless it's put-put) but reading and the pool: I can get in on that! I just got the Diary of Anne Frank which has been on my book list for some time and as far as the pool, there is nothing like laying out in the warm sunshine with dips in the water for a break.

Mountain?  or Road?

If you ride the river trail in Oceanside or on the coast probably. LOL I go inland to punish myself on the hills if I've hobbied too much.

G, did you know that January was National Hobby Month?  As for me, I collect and game, when I have the time.  Can't be too specific here I'm afraid, but a PM will get more details.  I also paint a little - watercolors and oils.  Favorite food?  Northern Indian for sure.  Dessert?  Probably vanilla icecream and apple pie.  Looks like I'm destined to be a vanilla boy.

Really? National hobby month? Cool!

Painter? Hmmmm maybe we can play with WATER and COLORS simultaneously.
Vanilla and pie? Damn you are a vanilla boy! LOL
I like cherry pie!

Hmmmmm horsie races? Count me in (again)!
Wine - weird, I thought you didn't drink (JK).
I think you donated most of your CDs to me and we will have to exchange notes on DVDs.

;)

Wonderful remodel of your website.  "When Goldie knocks - you answer"  Brilliant (and so cute).  Love the whole site!!

LOL thanks
Kinda cheesy but I like it

Every holiday season I donate food and newspapers to the pet shelters and adoption groups. I was reading that with the decline of printed news the shelters are having trouble lining the dog cages and are asking the papers to donate any unsold papers to them and it's still not enough. If you have old sheets, blankets or bedding or towels donate them to the shelter so the animals don't have to sleep on the hard floors and can enjoy a nice blanket or towel to snooze on.

Also: don't breed or buy when shelter pets die!

Spay and neuter!

Ant farm? Ewww! LOL sorry we have been having ant invasions here all summer so I have a mini grudge against them. Gardening: I don't normally pick the flowers I grow but I enjoy seeing the evolution from seed to sprout to lovely greenery!

Singing: uh oh. Don't ask me to sing. It's awful! I enjoy it so it makes me happy but best when alone.

I also like walking shelter dogs and planning the next visit with one of the gals. E-mail banters with Goldie are very cool too :)

I lived part time for ten years in the Bahamas 7 miles down the beach from a Club Med resort and I dated the "chef de voyage" babe for 3 years and we partied at every Club Med Village in the Bahamas and Caribbean, scuba diving, fishing, spearfishing, water skiing, night diving, etc, and my favorite hobby besides this one is kayaking, fishing, and spearfishing Nassau grouper and lobster and fighting off Bull sharks and making the first fish tacos ever in the Bahamas!

Ride my motorcycle on any road with twisties.
Take my board to Black's beach and hike down for a day of surfing.
Write short stories and poetry, sometimes erotica and sometimes not.
Create artwork from objects I find beach combing.
Collect bells of all kinds, shapes and sizes.
But sex in many forms, positions and ways is my favorite hobby!!

I like hiking, tennis, swimming, surfing, traveling, skiing, cooking. I am a foodie. I like books, thrifting, watching movies but not really gong to them. I like the theater. I'd like to learn to play golf and do some boating. I love trying new things, and that includes hobbies. I will try anything once, and if I like it, will do it again!

I'll try anything once and if I don't like it I'll try it again to make sure I didn't like it.

:)

Lately the hobby has seemed a little boring to me. Then I realized why.. I like the outdoors and i like beautiful women.  So if you can combine the two you have my favorite pastime. Motorcycle riding with a chick on the back. Stopping on that vista lookout for a quickie, Hiking to a waterfall and making love beneath the falls. walks on the beach and love in the sand!

I guess you figured it out Erotic adventures outside the bedroom with a lady!
