Later that day, I took the Wahl electric hair cutter I bought for the kid's hair and gave the whole "down there" area a trim.  It looks, well, different.  In my state of annoyance, I may have over done it...  Can anyone advise what a man's properly trimmed "nether regions" ought to look like?  Longer around the shaft, short around and under the balls?  Equally short everywhere?  

Having no experience licking these areas, I need some counsel.

This may give away my 'True Identity' to some of our providers, but I completly shave 'dwon under'.  It started a few years ago when I had hernia surgery and they partially shaved me.  It was so uncomfortable I decided to shave it all and let it grow back evenly.  I found that I really liked it.  Every provider I've been with also has said that yhey like it also.
Anyway, just my $.02 worth.

Without sounding too much like the guys from Queer Eye, it is always good to do some manscaping before going out.  As BJSniffles said, do it first then rinse rinse rinse.  Take a NEW razon into the shower with your shaving cream and it makes it nice and easy to shave the boys and underneath. With the warm water of the shower going over you it makes it easy to keep the razor clean and the hair flows off.  Before getting into the shower take your scissors to do some fine trimming around the base.  It does get a bit itchy after a day or so, but not if you keep it up with the trimming...just my two cents and I have not heard any complaints or flossed any ladies teeth

No offense intended to those less well-endowed than myself....

1.  take a file to the edge of the shower door opening, and sharpen it up real good
2.  when you get in the shower, let herman trail along outside
3.  close the door gently on herman
4.  back away from the door, scraping the hair off herman in one continuous motion
5.  as others have said, keep the water running so all the cuttings are washed off
6.  repeat sequence until herman is smooth or has been cut off, whichever occurs first.
