I doubt many of you have seen Shoshana/Venus' post on 1/20 to the original post of 1/16.  It's buried pretty far down in the board now.  As some of you may recall, Venus and Caresse WERE Glamour Massage just four years ago.

A very thoughtful, heartfelt post that some of you longer time board members may wish to read.

I for one missed the original thread but "to kill a mockingbird" was recently pointed out. The problem was the posting, although it comes from the heart, it's SLANDER.

The posting reads that the saddest part of the situation was that Carrese was sold out by one of her girls. Even though further down it's noted that the information is "second hand information" it's stated as fact that she was betrayed, with attempted detail to describe one person in particular and create doubt in trust of any of her former girls. WOW, that's about as irresponsible as you can get and certainly slanders anyone who ever worked with the group.

Shoshanas post came from a woman who is concerned for another friend, I understand this. Carrese was a friend of mine as well and there was a committment to protect that.

The actual truth of the matter is not that she was betrayed. None if the actual facts of the case even suggest that. What is sad is that this situation was avoidable.

Carrese wasn't betrayed. The problem was growing too big and asking for the wrong attention. Daily craigslist ads with inviting detail were the main issue  as well and multiple Youtube videos that still circulate today, spelled out the business in great detail. Facebook and myspace pages were discovered which are a rediculously innappropriate in which to advertise. Carrese also had a smaller incident in which should have proved to be a warning of things to come. She chose to ignore that uncle LEO warning and proceed with business as usual, including CL ads.  This decision to proceed without informing the ladies of the warning put EVERYONE at risk and now the entire community is paying a price for it

Carrese was my friend as well. I never want to see anyone in this situation, and certainly worse is when it occurs to someone with a family. To point blame where it is unwarranted an unfounded however is highly unethical and irresponsible.  

People sometimes make decisions and sever relationships based on paranoia, assumptIons and a failure to do their homework. That's unfortunate. Get the TRUTH. Do your homework and base your decisions on facts.

Shoshanas posts do not do this and subsequently pose a damage to innocent parties. I certainly hope the dust settles for Carrese and her family and my prayers are with her.  The court hearing today will hopefully shed more light for anyone who may be directly effected. Untill then I would caution anyone to post information based and heresay and second hand information.  It's simply irresponsible and the basis for uneducated rumors.

It comes down to this...be sensible. Don't let need or greed cause you to make poor decisions. Take responsibility for your actions and by all means take whatever steps that available to avoid issues on the first place.

Yes, less can often be more and Carrese always spoke spoke of you Shoshana, as a close friend. When an organization is good, and GM was, it can grow to a proportion that is hard to safely manage.  It's hard to handle everything alone and yet it's even harder to enlist the help of others as it required a great deal of trust. Ive seen paranoia set in as the information is delicate. Poor decision can be made if assumptions and accusations are not propertly checked out. It's tough.

Some organizations manage this very well, others unfortunately struggle. It's important to remember the adult community should stay in the adult community. Venturing out to post info on media and at events of conservative america is not always wise and can invite all kinds of unwelcome attention.

Second hand information meaning, Artemis, that I didn't hear the conversation between the two parties, "live and in person".  Carrese called me the same day however...probably within the same hour;  reciting to me the details of the fallout between herself and said betrayer.  SHE WAS TRULY SHOCKED!  And saddened.

Call my thread Slander if you will, but I DO know many things about this situation more than all the rest, and it's b/c Carrese is my closest bosom girlfriend on earth.

Please grant me your ear a minute, Sister-Goddess...I am NOT a fighter; I am a LOVER.  And yet sometimes, life calls upon us to do the hard thing and to seek VIRTUE in situations where it seems there is no hope.  This is one of them.

As Women, Mothers, Goddesses and fellow humans, all of us just trying to survive this New Rome Era of Injustice, Hate, Greed and Narcissism, it is my HOPE & FERVENT PRAYER that we could all learn a lesson from Carlos Santana, on his Social Networking Site where he said:

In my humble (yet very outspoken opinion) it's high time that those of us in this fringe community, seek to truly UNITE together in a Spirit of Love and Oneness.

It really is our only Hope!

We must walk in one another's shoes and realize that we truly all are equal we are ONE!

Sure, greed is wrong; jealousy is worse.  The list of human terribleness goes on and on, eh?  

Nevertheless, why can not we who are the open-minded ones of this country, truly LOVE one another, as we love ourselves?  

This is the big question in this unfortunate, grievous situation; not, in fact, the "getting of the facts".  For we all know the facts already, right?  Our nation's so-called justice system is all about prosecuting "victimless crimes"; so says one of my attorneys.

Artemis, let us not hold grievances against another when we are down on our luck; even if another has treated us spitefully, wronged us, or shown themselves to be less than we hoped for in a "friend".

Rather, let us gather the heart of merciful-love from the Great One and realize that we really all are ONE.

If we could begin to understand that fact, none of us would ever compete, malign or seek vengeance against a fellow human. To hurt or curse another only hurts ourselves in the process.  We should all promote one another, in a spirit of good will and brotherly love.

I had been to GM once and was looking forward to returning on my next trip to San Diego.  What are the options now?  I'll be in and out of town a few times this year and would be interested in another place that features much of the same.

RHBW, but they are not taking new clients right now it seems but they may loosen their rules once this blows over.

Just want to publicly thank you Artemis....your PM and phone call last night helped to center me in this trying time for "our friend".

Though I never meet Carrese, I have heard of her over the years. In my opinion and opinion are like assholes every one has got one. She did put herself and others who work for her and visit in harms way by not shutting the doors after her small incident... Plus How many times do we need to hear about CL before ladies stop using it they are turning all info of the advertisers over to LE. (this means your CC info address, real name and any other info you fill out to post an ad on their site)  


Artemis I feel your post was as honest as a friend can be and your right we do need to take responsibility for your action and take whatever steps that are available to avoid issues in the first place.

No problem Shoshana. I was glad to put some of the misconceptions to rest. You are a caring and concerned woman so your passion in the matter is completely understood. It's a tough situation to be in and one I would do anything to help another avoid.
