Does negotiation impact session?

I contacted a well reviewed provider who posted with donations of 180HH, 280 HR and I requested 90 minutes.  She responded yes, at $500.  I PM'ed, what happened to 280 HR?  She responded, yes I can do that :), 280HR, 460 for 90 min.  I PM'ed, 280HR for 90 min. is $420.  She responded, 180HH, 280HR that's $460 my usual rate.  She continued, sorry for the confusion :), but can do $420 this time just for you :))
Ladies, how does this type of pre-session negotiation affect the encounter?
Gents, what do you do at this point?  Go all in and expect the 16% rate reduction, $500 to $420, won't weigh on the lady's mind?  Call it off?
This was the first time I questioned a provider's donation, especially the initial $500?

I agree it is a tough situation because we all know that it is bad form to try to negotiate - the girl sets the price and we can either take it or leave it.  But, I have seen situations were there seems to be an honest mistake with the math - the price points just don't make sense (ex: booking 2 hrs is more than booking 2 1-hr appts).

The truth is that it looks like you handled it well (she should appreciate the fact that you want to see her for extended time, but just want to pay a rate that seems to make sense with her price points) and it looks like she has handled it well back in return (e.g. indicating "just for you" and the smiley faces).

If she came back with a tone that seemed grumpy or put-off it would be different, but I would have no problem going forward with it.

Sounds, like she is happy with getting your business regardless of the confusion.  Have fun!

Thank you MP.  The worst experience I have had revolved around a misunderstanding about money.  Ergo, I am SUPER cautious.  BTW, it was my fault.

it can depend on the situation.  If the provider's ads are ambiguous, you should be able to ask the question and maybe suggest she edit her website to make it a little clearer.  If you're not sure, its better to ask than to be accused of shorting someone when you genuinely misunderstood the rate.
One highly regarded provider actually went through a period where she encouraged bargaining.  I made her an offer with what I had - via PM of course - and she countered by adding a bottle of campaign to the deal, which I happily provided.  We had a fun time.  Another provider I contacted had two different rates on two different websites.  She asked me which one I wanted - the TER rate or the other rate (which was lower).  I went with the lower rate, but the service was still great.  In short, if in doubt do it via PMs and email rather than over the phone or face to face.

This all went done via PMs on the site where the lady had posted the donations I quoted.  Hadn't encountered this situation in the past.  Just a newbie question.  Salamat!

I know many companions that post there higher rates on Eros, TER etc but their lower rates looking for locals that may be good repeat customers vs a out of town visitor such as often from Eros.

One well known companion in Houston told me she had two different names and personalities one at a high rate and one at a lower affordable by more rate.  She said overall she much preferred the lower rate customers who didn't act like they own her and seem to get an ego trip by going to high rate companions.

What drives me crazy - well one of the things - is "call for specials".   First I would never respond to someone if I didn't now their posted rate (and far less legal issues should always have an hourly companion rate and no illegal GFE etc in ads), and this opens up to negotiations like a car salesmen or huge legal risks in cities with aggressive LE like in Phoenix.

I am lurking a bit here since going to SD in a few weeks for business, but have different interests from most here :)

Haven't been to SD for decades, all I recall is the steep landing into downtown seeing all the tall buildings and hope we were high enough not to hit!

there are lots of ladies that have a lower rate on the local board than what they have here.

Some ladies price themselves differently on different sites, sometimes the rate is twice as much as posted elsewhere!  I know one site I like to use is cracking down on that and you can get your account removed if caught advertising a higher rate on their site than one would advertise elsewhere.  That's why it's good to do a little research beforehand.  Most girls have the highest rate on their personal website but advertise lower rates on the local forums.  My rate is the same on all sites, it just makes it easier for me when people ask my rates and there is no confusion in the end.  Some girls also change their rates so often it's easy for a guy to say Oh but you told me X amount last time.  One guy did that to me obviously trying to get a lower deal but I just laughed because I know exactly what I charge and had never offered the rate he was trying to claim I did.

Another problem can be out of date listings.  Some local providers advertise on a number of different websites, and I think some forget about the lower rates they posted weeks ago on one site or another.  It can be very confusing, especially if you do a search for someone and come up with two or three different rates for the same service.  It takes some organizational and housekeeping skills on the part of providers to ensure they keep a handle on what they are currently asking across different websites.  And for the client, this leads us into the very uncomfortable territory of having to ask for clarification about just what they expect to be compensated for their services.

I keep the same rate everywhere. My website site says that my site is current and that is the rate everyone should go by. I try and avoid posting specials on other sites. Like you said, someone always runs into those old specials and conveniently over looks the fact that is was posted 2 yrs ago.  I always say "please view my site for specials".  I know it can be an inconvenience to some and many do not like clicking on sites. It makes things easier for me because I don't have to worry about old specials floating around confusing people.

Many websites steal ads without the provider's permission. I have found old ads on websites that I never posted on. I Just recently I saw an old ad where I  was filed under "Greek Providers".  I actually saw it because someone posted the link on another site that I am a member of.

1. I never posted on that site. 2.  I do not offer that service.

I see how it's annoying for you guys but sometimes we can't control what's out there. I can see how it can be confusing if one is posting different rates on popular sites and she is active on those boards.  In that case, I feel it's okay to ask. I wouldn't call that negotiating.
