Great post, frenchie!
Your message is something I speak of often.  Everyday acts of kindness . Compassion and empathy for others.
One person can't change the world , but all of us together absolutely can.

Hey guys...

You know, we live in a pretty screwed up world, nothing make sense, lots of injustice, violence, stress...

No one can change the world over night, trust me, I tried!
But if we all try a little everyday and tell 10 people to tell 10 people...then it a start!

Smile at the stranger in the street, don't open doors to the pretty girl only, the overweight one deserve some kindness too.

Give a quarter to the lost souls in the streets, it won't make you poorer and it will fill up his stomac.

Whatever you do, remember that it won't change the world but it will comtribute To make this crazy jungle a better place!

What goes around comes around...

I was watching a documentary about human traffic... HORRIBLE!!!
Later on, I saw a homeless guy talking to himself
A guy kept the door open for me but not for the fat lady who was coming after me
I watch the French news and realized Europe is not in good shape...

So I just wanted to say something to make people realize that this world is nuts and we can all make it better with a small effort...a smile or a hello make somebody's day sometime so why not?

Life is hard so why make it harder?

That's my angel~ always caring, forever loving.

The world can be cruel and bitter, unpredictably dangerous at times.  Yet there are alot of nice people who do make a difference and lift the human spirit in others.  There are many documentaries about human kindness, check them out.

Watch Pay It Forward, it relates to your "10 people to tell 10 people" comment.

I tend to be a giver and always will do what I can to help someone in need.
However, as you stated it is pretty screwed up out there and things are not always what they seem. I takes a strong person to maintain being positive. There are people out there who try to deceive the system in order to prey on a giving heart. And then there are those you try to help who do not accept your help as you watch their lives fall apart. For everyone giving is a deeply personal and soul searching decision. Some choose to be disconnected and make the blind donation to a charity or flip a quarter to the guy on the street. Others choose to get personally involved. For the giver the rewards are in the fruits of the labor. No one want to be taken advantage of. So if you find yourself on the receiving side, a smile, a thankyou, or some acknowlegement will keep the movement going.

To this day I still remember an experience I had in my early 20's. I was in a small isolated town deep in the south. A poor black man was in charge of maintaining a boiler for a school. Now I did not think I did anything special, I simply shook his hand, looked him in the eye, called him sir and treated him with respect. The warm smile and look in his eyes i got in return stays with me to this day.

What I am saying is if you want to change the world you have to start with yourself and remember character counts.

From my perspective things are screwed up and only headed worse. Too many problems without real answers. Kind of sad but the way the system is designed makes it very difficult for the powers that be to address the problems at hand because the solutions will hurt. Why cause pain today when you can put it off and have someone else deal with a bigger problem in the future. We definitely have a "I've got mine" culture.

I love this post!
You are a breath of Fresh Air Miss Frenchie Rose!
I often feel the same way. I think some of us providers are so Blessed or Lucky to be able to Live the Life we live.I often volunteer for Mamas Kitchen or St.Vincents downtown.  A couple local providers and I pass out sandwiches downtown. You might not be able to change the world over night, but YOU CAN PUT A SMILE ON Someones FACE who is less fortunate than you.

great post!!!
P.S.  a great way to achieve Zen/Karma/luck is to give to others often WITHOUT EXPECTING ANYTHING IN RETURN.

It's a documentary someone send me
I tried to share the link but stupid iPad won't be cool enough to give it to me so that's how you can find it:
It's on you tube:

Search: the real sex traffic

It was really really hard to watch...I just wanted to hug all those poor girls.
And the husband who got his wife sold and he is going OUT OF HIS WAY TO FIND HER!!! What a good hubby man, he did not let go to find her (she was pregnant I believe)

It's subtitled, it's intense...IT'S REAL, it's sick...
