It's obvious when posters/reviewers draw suspicion upon themselves such as Naglaf, smallword, PAPI, JDPS2020. What about the "good cop" role? The ones that try to blend in and be locker room buddy types? Those pulling the proverbial wool over our eyes.  Can  you picture which ones are taking up that role?  How would that play out? As supergirl reminded us recently "Think like they do." Stay vigilant.

That got your attention, didn't it?  Or it could look just like any of my posts, so please don't take this as a flame.  

"Can  you picture which ones are taking up that role?"  Nope.  Neither can you or anybody else.  Not if they're any good at it.  What I can picture is the harm done by becoming obsessed with trying.  

Let's face it, if each of us decides to only trust those he's known for years, TER might as well fold up and quit.  The 15 or so members of the "inner circle" or "old boy network" could just as well communicate with each other privately and the rest of us will be ignored by them and by each other.  Which side wins in that case?

The question is, what can a "good cop" as you describe it hope to accomplish?  The Naglafs and bonafidelovers openly try to lure us into the spider's web, and thus they reveal themselves.  By definition, your "good cops" can't do that.

In fact, the only thing they can do is muddy the waters so that nobody trusts anybody else and postings/reviews are useless.  They may not score any arrests that way but it would sure cripple TER.  And this IS how undercover cops think.

There really IS a difference between reasonable caution and irrational paranoia.

I'm not trying to be anyone's friend here.THINK.  OR, who is stirring the LE pot? He might be stirring it with a chopstick, but really, THINK.While the OBVIOUS bacon is challenging you to book his spoils, who is gently nudging you to MAYBE think he MIGHT be ok or? The ambivilant guy with really no other history other than wondering about THIS and THAT?
And you're RIGHT ON Dionisis.. the long posts I've noticed lately make me wonder as well, THE Squadron of Doom ARE on the clock!

I don't know if there are many Asians here, but since I'm mix, the ethnic inuendo "stirring it with a chopstick" could be aimed at me, which if it is, I find offensive.  However, I'm going to take the high road and not flame your character or ethnicity.

If your reference is to me and your having doubts I would suggest you talk to Michelle/Lindsey (I just saw) or SANDIEGONEWBIE who also saw her to confirm the correctness of my review data or Tiffany/Torrie I saw in May/August 2000 as HEYBUD if she remembers from that far back as I got the date wrong myself on one of my posts.  Or you could talk to Pietro whom I talked with about hanging out later or UDOGU who knows my full name.  Or of course you could assume we are all LE and in this together.

Looking at the posts one could nit pik questionable behaviors of any of us if you read enough into it, (and yes, THAT INCLUDES YOU) but I'll leave that topic alone for now.  An apology would be appreciated, if nothing else than regarding the ethnic remark, or I suppose you could just blow this off and behave as if you never read this message.  But if this posts, it's gonna be here a long time for you not to see it and I'm posting this message because I tried to PM you and couldn't, because "lookmoreclosely" was not found in the mail database.

"good cop vs bad cop" only works if it's evident who's a cop and who isn't.  as LE has never made an "official" post on this board, a better model, me thinks, is spy vs spy, in this case, with you trying to reveal the mole.  watchout for the landmines surrounding cuba!

All you have to do is use the search function in this forum see the complete history of a poster on this board.  In fact you really don't have to go back much farther than 6-9 months to find the suspicious posters.  

I guess your post is just a reminder to use all the tools available to you.  Guys have to have the same attitude as the ladies do.  Consider everybody suspicious until they prove that they aren't.

I guess I have to agree with Dionisios and Mike1010...sigh.  It's good to be cautious but not to paranoia.  Maybe the best way is to be like the ladies and suspect everyone until proven otherwise.
