Sasha Grey, Porn Star, Reads To Elementary School, Parents Outraged

How would you feel if an adult film star read to your seven year old child? Believe it or not, some parents in California are pretty angry that it happened in their kids' classroom.

Porn legend Sasha Grey was a guest reader at Emerson Elementary School in Compton, California earlier this month, joining first and third grade students in their Read Across America day. Grey certainly enjoyed the experience, tweeting, "Spent the am with Read Across America Compton, reading to the sweetest 1st & 3rd grade students @ Emerson Elementary!"

why she chose to do it?  Assuming she's now intereted in getting kids to read, so what?  Does any 7-year-old even know what porn is anyway?  Did any of them know she was a porn star?  No harm done, I'd say.  I still wonder why the school officials didn't know beforehand.  Maybe they did.

more involved in their children's education.  If I knew Sasha Grey was going to be reading at school to my kids, I'd certainly be more than happy to volunteer some of my time that day to do anything to help out.

If you don't think for a minute that every one of these kids googled her when they got home, you are fooling yourself. These kids are smart and computer savvy right out of the womb. Once they do, their parents have to explain who she is and what she does.  And for what, story time? I think this was totally unnecessary.  They could have had anyone else in the world do this with absolutely no controversy or fallout.  As the biggest PS lover on the planet, I just don't think there was an upside for the kids in this instance. As a parent, I would have an issue with this as well.

I have had relationships with PS's and would have no problem having a LTR with one.  But in that instance, I would make the choice on what to subject my children to and I would not have that choice made for me.

bwahahaha....the 6 and 9 year olds googled her....are u fucking kidding me?? they probably didnt even care until all this attention started coming about...and if your kid can google porn at 6 and 9 years old then there is something wrong with u as a parent and why you dont have web filters on the computer your 1st and 3rd grader has access?  Give me a break with this fake outrage shit.

Did I convey outrage?  I don't think so.  And you certainly aren't a parent if you think kids can't google a name from school, home or their friends smart phones.  The fact is that all this attention was bound to come out.  And thank you for your commentary on my parenting skills.

I wonder if the parents would have been outraged if Kim Kardashian read to the kids as part of her show, under the pretense of "giving back" (which we all know to be false, just follow the 1.5months = $18M marriage she had).  And let's not forget that Kim has a tape out there as well of her give Ray J a spit shine on his dick.  Ex-convicts get a second start, why not ex-pornstars?

What the hell does a 1st and 3rd grader need with a smartphone...I do have kids and no 1st grader or third graders are walking around with smartphones...roflmao.  Furthermore, schools have web filters to prevent pornographic material its required by SLD (School and Library Division) in order for them to recieve erate funding.  So that leaves the only place they can google it would be from HOME where as parents you are responsible.  When I was speaking of Outrage I was referencing the news story not you.  Finally you are missing my point...is that the student probably didnt care enough to google the lady who read to them in class..they probably could care less and want to focus more on fun and things that 1st and 3rd graders do.

I'm pretty sure the outrage was anything but fake. Sorry, but if you think these folks are being disingenuous, you're living in your own world. There's a very sizable percentage of the U.S. population that still holds to moral codes that believe pornography is wrong, and porn stars are the worst kind of roll models. Or have you forgotten why prostitution is illegal in 49 of 50 U.S. states, and only legal in certain counties in NV. Seriously, this sort of thing really sticks in the craw of a large percentage of "middle america" without regard to political affiliation or necessarily even views on sexuality. If this happened in most corps in the U.S. there's a good chance the school principal might be looking for a new job...in another line of work.  That's REALITY, and it's anything but FAKE.

First off, I can't stand Saha grey. I've never found her attractive in the slightest. In fact, I find everything about her downright repulsive. She is hairy, has no boobs, and her face is extremely average. The types of movies she films are pretty disgusting, she has had to have taken at least 10 guys at once on more than one occasion. I find it laughable that she is trying to make it Hollywood. She is a terrible actress and isn't even pleasant to look at. She is the worst kind of attention whore there is, she doesn't give a shit about those kids in the slightest. Anyone who thinks she does is foolish, she is trying to keep her name relevant. As the old saying goes there is no such thing as bad publicity, just ask Kim kardashian. Her acting career is in the toliet where it belongs and this a great way to get her name out there again.

If I was a parent I would have no problem w an adult film performer reading to my children or even be one of their teachers as long as she has the proper credentials. I would have a problem w a woman who has been gangbanged, dp'ed, and splooged all over by enough men to fill a football team with. The act of having sex on camera is not a big deal. Getting bukkaked by 15-20 middle aged men while you shout what a disgusting whore you are is. Don't kid yourself, the first time I saw porn was in kindergarten, I didn't even know what it was at the time but I knew I liked it. I wouldn't want my kid exposed to many guys on 1 girl and think that's it's "normal". One of these kids def has an older sibling who knows exactly who Sasha is and what she does and will be glad to inform one of these children.

This was a brilliant business move by a souless whore to keep her name relevant and nothing more.

The problem is, neither you, nor I are typical, we don't make up the majority of society, so what TER posters think is probably outside the norm. THEY do have a problem with a person perceived by them to be NOTORIOUSLY immoral (as in "in your face" publicly knowable immorality, she's a porn star) teaching their kids. That's an "IS." Whether Sasha Grey is a credible mainstream actor is irrelevant to the issue, as is what level of pornography she filmed. To THEM, it's no different if she was getting railed mish by one dude, or gangbanged and bukkake'd by 10.

R u serious?  First we are talking about Pornstars not Prostitution.  Although the line may be blurred the distinct difference is one is legal in Cali and one is not.  Secondly,  She is an ex Pornstar not a current pornstar and she wasnt introduced as a pornstar and to put my point in perspective this happened in California not Mississippi.  The most liberal and progressive state in the US.  I call it fake outrage because when interviewed by the new station 65% of the parents interviewed had no problem with it...the other 35% had to be explained who she was then the news anchor didnt even mention she was a former Pornstar.  So its not like an educated majority popular reaction to the event ...it was a manufactured outrage by the new media trying to make it a story off a tip some one gave them.  I dont like to deal with "what ifs" but this time i will make an exception.  I bet if she was a "born again christian" who was an ex pornstar who changed her life around there wouldnt even be a story here.  So why is there one now simply because she made a change for the better without religion?

This story reminds me of a Discovery Channel special about five years ago.  The jury in a murder case had voted for life without parole rather than the death sentence.  After the trial, the jurors found out that the murderer had been a user of pornography.  One of the jurors said that if she had known, she would have voted for the death penalty rather than life without parole.  In other words, in her mind, murder is not necessarily a capital crime, but pornography is.

Even Hollywood, as liberal as it is on most issues, often has a problem with casting porn stars in mainstream movies--although there are more and more exceptions, so maybe there is a gradual change occurring.

Ironically, the news stories, during the past decade or so, about teachers becoming sexually involved with their students, have been about teachers who were previously considered "model citizens," not porn stars, strippers or even prostitutes, for that matter.

And that rembark referred to Kardashian's intelligence, no Sasha's.  who's stupid now, bootlicker?

The basic question which should be addressed:
What is the purpose of bringing in a "celebrity" the kids should NOT be familiar with?

Every teaching contract comes with a morals clause.

In most jurisdictions the "production" of pornographic video is still classified as prostitution and therefore illegal.  The fact she was shooting porn in a different jurisdiction would not exempt her from such a morals clause.
