Even if you're using those little acronyms, which can easily be publicly cross-referenced in court, and even if you have a thousand referrals, the Patriot Act is still in effect and many of you need to tone down your messages and phone calls. Once you start verbally soliciting, or ask me to tell u all the things we're going to do, I can't see you, and I'm sure many other girls on this board feel the same way. If a girl was a rip-off, she'd get no love on this board. Just a note-Thank you.
Jen is right, don't get all talky on the phone. Read the reviews and figure it out from there. This is a no-brainer for most of us, but a word to the wise should suffice.
I see in your post that you specify "ask me to tell u all the things we're going to do," in which case you are correct, that is crossing the line.
However, a hobbyist politely asking if something is on the menu is frankly part of the hobby, particularly if said provider has no, or few reviews. A lady with reviews can kindly say 'please check my reviews for all your questions.' If it is something off the menu, she can chose to not answer the question, which I think is fair.
When a hobbyist is spending upwards of $1-1,500 on a session it is understandable that they want to know if certain things will be available. Unfortunately there are some providers where, if the menu isn't established, they won't offer certain things they might have if the menu was established.
Also, while I'm no legal expert, this is a site that has far more than abbreviations listed.
I certainly understand your concern, and this post is meant as no disrespect. I just think that it is within reason that a hobbyist politely ask questions, just as it is within reason for the provider to politely defer to her reviews, or merely say 'sorry, I don't answer questions about sessions.' Both parties are free to move on if they don't see eye to eye on that issue.
The internet is a vast wasteland, read the reviews, don't be foolish enough to ask questions either thru an e-mail, or the phone.
This wasteland allows one to be anyone they want, that means that the 14 yar old can assume an identity of a 30 year old, and you want us girls to talk dirty to him?
The same goes for the phone, I do not do the phone until a person has been verified, and he has sent in his deposit.
I even state in my ads that I do not describe my services in common acronyms because I feel it limits how I spend my time... I have been referred to in classic reviews as all the letters in the alphabet, but I will not discuss details in any form of transmission. Some guys don't understand that these acronyms HAVE been used against ladies and agencies in the past... part of the hobby or not, everyone should play safely.
While I understand your position and feelings on the matter, I would hope you could return the favor and try to understand our point of view.
We're about to spend a lot of money, and we want some kind of assuarance that we will get what we are looking for.
There has to be some middle ground. Reviews are great for well known providers. Sometimes it just feels like the clients are the ones that take all the risk.
Yes, I know there are a lot of risks providers face that have nothing to do with legal status. But when it comes down to it, the provider knows *exactly* what they will get from the client. The client has only a vague idea of the other side of that coin.
