I love that people want to talk about things that are going on in the world and what not, but going through the boards it seems like it's becoming flooded with tons of off topic subjects.  Is this a problem with anyone else?  We do have a General Discussion forum... Let's keep the "Porn Star" section to Porn Star stories and related topics.   Just my opinion, especially on a forums board where you need to search back pages and pages if you haven't been on in a few days.

I have already commented on this stuff a couple of times.  Keep the PS board a PS board, post off topic comments on the GD board where they belong, or are at least more appropriate.

A few weeks ago, Eddie asked about off-topic posts on this board and everyone (apparently except for me) thought that his comments about traffic were acceptable. My point then was that there was a General Discussion board for these thoughts as well as a Politics board for Bush jokes that weren't funny 6 years ago.

I'd point out that Eddie does a fantastic job moderating, however, in allowing even one person to post random thoughts, it's only fair that everyone can. Either all or none. Clearly, the tide has returned to realize that this is ONLY a porn star discussion board and I couldn't agree more. The site has expanded to allow random comments in many different locations and thank you Memphis for taking the reigns on this.

that attracts every manner of guy, from truck-drivers to neurosurgeons (cuz let's face it they all gots to get laid! you're bound to get disagreement over what its format should be

i am not a particular fan of Pornstar Fridays and Fantasy Polls, but i figue i shouldn't complain about them, so i just skip over them

anyway, i belive Eddie already made his views clear on off-topic posts (so i'll let him speak for himself).

i would just point out that this really has been an unusual week. i'm a little curious if you'd say the same thing if this was the week after 911 for example?  they way some people are reacting to MJ's death, you'd think it was!


BUT, more importantly, since i'm curious, aren't you, as a PSE provider, curious what/how your potential new customers think?

i know most gals don't get involved in discussions period. some don't have the time and the ones that do know it's bad for business!

but i do know that some use this board to "screen" TER guys, based on what they say, how they say it, etc

I agree with your view that off topic messages are a problem.  

Worse yet, most lack some redeeming value, such as wit, humor or interesting information.

I love the fun polls

I didn't want to be a killjoy, so I qualified my position to encourage posts that are witty, humorous or interesting.

Most of the fun polls have a place on this board because they have humor as a redeeming value and are somewhat related to interactions between the sexes.

I do use the board to help screen, but their domestic views or how they think do not persuade me in the least.  Everyone has an opinion

I totally agree with you.  I dont even think the moderators need to be posting stuff that is off topic.  That's where there is general discussion and whatnot.  Trying to sift thru porn star related messages and nonsense has become increasingly frustrating, especially since I PAY MONEY to be apart of this board.  I have to route through 30 pages of forums when I shouldn't have to do that.

I am an avid poster to this board and it should be exactly what it was designed for, not 17 messages about Michael Jackson or George Bush.

You know how bad it urks me to post a message and have it denied because of a minor link i forgot, then the moderators take 3 days to repost it, only to see offic topic messages....  Just my rant
