I was clearing up space on the little porn hard drive today and found myself deleting mostly mild videos of some really nice looking college girls, but so incredibly tame. You said it yourself: incredibly tame. Playboy Playmates of the Year were all the rage and received tons of media attention. Where do you hear about them now? Technology has made hardcore porn stars more accessible while reducing centerfold models to vanilla status. Even if I could meet a Playboy Playmate with a click of a button on my screen, I can't find the motivation. They're simply boring now. XXX stars are today's ultimate trophies.

...ladies who just won't venture beyond doing Playboy.  If the name is big enough...they will still draw.  But, generally agree with you...playboy is largely irrelevant.

I have a membership to some porn hub or some such that includes Playboy online stuff.  I still chck it out from time to time as there are archives of some smashingly hot women there.  One of my personal faves....Sara Jean Underwood!!!!

Its just so bland and every issue looks the same too me.

You have a beach bunny type who is standing there naked who is taking off a jacket or blouse.  
Hardly any of the issues do the centerfold wear a full set of lingerie and most of them are fully shaved down there, so there is not much to look at below the waist.  Not as many ethnic women either.  

Playboy is not just a magazine, it was a way of life. Beautiful, seductive women, exclusive parties at the mansion , hobnobbing with like minded people, exotic vacations and the rich lifestyle next to the country club.  Which was the dream lifestyle in the 80s.  

Society is not the same,which makes Playboy out of place in todays society.  The women are still beautiful but not as seductive in the past, the partys at the mansion are not so exclusive anymore, people are more opinionated, everywhere is looking like vegas now and most country clubs are going out of business now.
