I was just reading on an industry website that Amy Ried was paid $5,500 to do a scene with 12 guys for Baker's Dozen with Brandon Irons. I don't watch porn at all but I am assuming that means she did a gangbang with all 12 guys! Now I am not talking about Amy Ried specifically because I've never spoken to her but it amazes me that while I have been fortunate over the years to represent more than 100 of the hottest porn stars there is there are still many that draw the line at escorting, even when they can make more than $6,000 a day to be wined and dined by a wealthy, educated, classy gentleman for say an overnight rendezvous in Las Vegas (this is just an example), but they have no problem making less money for a gangbang that probably takes all day to film! Why do you think this is?
i think amy ried is hot!!! get her in your stable so we can sample her charms...
Maybe, you should ask Amy Reid. My sense is that woman that don't partake make a distinction between porn/gangbangs, which can be considered "art" and escorting, which, whatever way you slice it, is prostitution.
Maybe you should organize gangbang-overnight meetings in Las Vegas.
I'm not really an expert at this, but I think many girls in the industry don't do that only for the money. You are part of the "entertainment" world when you're a pornstar.Seeing yourself on the cover of a DVD or in magazines has some kind of attraction that escorting can not give.
And some girls might think that by escorting they're going to lose this "entertainer" status.
Maybe someone should think about making a magazine for escorts.I think I already know some of the top reporters...
I guess the only difference is safety in numbers. I guess some girls just feel more comfortable being in a room with a lot of people (cameramen, directors, other actors, etc.) than being one-on-one? For their own psyche, perhaps they can self justify one as "acting" vs. the more personal nature of a "date"?
Just some thoughts.

PM me if Natalia Cruz is available.
My guess is that on one hand, the girl is surrounded by people she knows or knows of, she has a choice in who she's going to be having sex with, and if she's smart she has discussed before the cameras even roll exactly what is going to be taking place, and regardless of one's opinion of porn, it IS legal.
On the other hand, escorting isn't legal, she never knows who or what type of person is going to be standing in the hallway when she opens the hotel door, she's totally alone one-on-one with the guy, and let's face it, it's better for your family to find out you're a pornstar than it is for them to find out you're a call girl.
The fact that a girl is willing to have sex on camera for money automatically makes most guys think that they should also be willing to escort. But it REALLY isn't the same thing.
Also keep in mind that Baker's Dozen isn't really a gang bang movie. The girl in the scene usually just has sex with one (sometimes two) men. The dozen part happens when another 11 or twelve guys then blow their loads on her face.
Its really simple actually.. Any girl that doesnt make porn cant be legit on this board or any other being called a PSE. So we all like PSE ( Porn Star Escorts). If she does do a scene like bakers dozen such as girl mentioned in this posting $5500 is probably more then most get. Reality girls do escorting for the cash not cause your cute or they want to entertain you. Its all about the money some just hide it better then most.
I deal with these woman daily. Porn pays well but escorting pays better if you have the name. But like Ed said if you get to choose your co-star and that kind of thing ,its fun good money. Realize most of these girls would have a hard time working even as a secretary.
Actually escorting IS legal. Prostitution is illegal.
If it isn't about the money then why did she ask for more than 4x her normal scene rate?
Personally, I'd rather my family found out I was an escort than that I let 12 guys shoot their loads in my eyes and film it for the whole world to see! Lol!
Well, we're splitting hairs there...
But I agree that Baker's Dozen isn't the type of movie I'd want to do if I were a hot property, but for whatever reason many girls see it as a legitimate occupation, while escorting is stepping over the line.
Look we all have to delude ourselves sometimes in order to cope. As another poster mentioned on this thread, sex for money is sex for money... but by refusing to escort allows the lady to justify that taking money for having sex is in her case a legitimate form of art/entertainment. If she steps over that line she loses her coping mechanism. We all lie to ourselves at some point in time to get through the day. We tell ourselves we love our jobs, we don't mind working 50 hours a week, that we don't think HDTV is worth the money that we can't afford to spend... etc.
Please do us a favor and cut out the psychobabble hokum. As I noted before, PS that don't escort make the distinction between porn movie sex and escort sex. Whether it is a coping mechanism or the PS really believes that porn movies are art is besides the point.
psychobabble hokum? it seems you might be suffering from a Jungian feeling of displaced anger towards parents who didn't nurture you. No, wait, maybe that's a Skinner hypothesis. But as Freud use to say, sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.
better alias for you !
It is a derivative of my handle.
noballs.
Just STFU.
Or keep talking and make yourself out to be a complete idiot. Your choice.
The whole basis of the question is someones mental state and how THEY perceive things.

Now, Frosty, let's cool the rhetoric, stop the personal attacks and play nice.
like a moron for even responding to him once I searched back thru his posts. lol
Mostly drivel and worthless. Proven to be a liar on at least one thread I saw. A teenager possibly !
frosty
P.S. Are you posting from jail yet ? lmao
Amy has stated in more than one interview she is in porn for lots of sex not money. She is not interested in seeing guys who may have performance issues. By seeing guys who work in porn she pretty much does not need to worry about that.
I don't believe ANY pornstar isn't in porn for the money... Sure, many of the girls love sex and love the almost rock-star attention pornstars get these days, but it ridiculous to think that they are in it just for lots of sex.
Let's think logically. Amy is a very hot looking woman... if she wants LOTS of sex she doesn't need to do porn to get it. She could go to any swinger's club and have her choice of dozens of guys a night.
Also, from the videos I've seen of Amy, she really didn't seem THAT into the boy/girl sex... her performances were rather luke-warm. Then she stopped doing boy/girl until just recently. So her interviews don't jibe with reality.
I love sex, but wouldn't impress anyone who watched be doing it. ![]()
She just started doing boy/girl stuff a few months ago (after she dumped her SO).
She also has issues with guys who have performance problems. She could go to a swingers club and have her choice but how does she know they would be able to do the deed?
As for her interviews the first one where she did her first boy/girl scene is on suze Randalls site.
Actually Amy started out doing boy/girl and then stopped... probably when she met her S/O
That there are two factors, security, but once you get past that, the other factor is how one thinks of sex. I've spoken to a more that a few PSE's and the difference is, sex for money is sex for money, whether there is one man in the room or a hole camera crew, it's still sex and you are still getting paid for it. One the other hand the camera crew and that everyone there is also being paid to be there or has a financial interest in the production, and not just one horny guy, make a difference to an actress, (go figure?) and that is where many draw the line.
...you are not dealing with professionals who do their job and then go home at the end of the day, like on a shoot. As an escort you might be dealing with all different types of humanity that may present their own problems, both physical and emotional. Including serious problems at times that can have repercussions well beyond the date.
All the points made above about security, legality, self image etc... seem sound to me.
I've spoken to all say escorting is much less work, the working conditions are nicer, no hot light, usually one pop, no stopping and starting and you're done when the hour is up. Most PS get 1K-2K per scene that can last 3-4 maybe even 5-6 hours. Most PS providers get 1K per hour and see 4-5 clients a day and some be multi hour appointments, one PS provider I know will see 8-10 men a day, but she's nuts, and loves nuts ![]()
...if you had put the same question to those that had decided against escorting then the results may well be very different.
You might be right, but for the money which do you think is more work, porn or escorting?
...both are more than just having sex. Escorting may well be more involved work with potentially greater implications and downsides, as others have pointed out above.
You do your thing and don't judge anyone else's decisions.
We can "judge" all we want. We just shouldn't force our beliefs on you. Freedom is a two way street. You should be able to do what you want, but you must accept the consequences and one of those is people voicing their opinions - even if it's just more of a question.
Mia - How do you learn anything if you don't observe, wonder and inquire? Bella wants to know something. How can he/she learn if he/she doesn't ask?
They are a business and they linked the message to their website and I will bet everyone of you went to their website and it brought them some attention and there is nothing wrong with that, it is very good salesmanship, but they really arent interested in your opinion, only in relieving you of your hard earned cash, and if you believe other wise, all I can say is that you are looking for love in all the wrong places, just my never humble opinion.
as always
Happy Hunting
...it's just something that crossed my mind when I read the article and I thought it would make for a good discussion/debate on this board (which it has) rather than the usual ISO's! I think that in life, no matter what it is that you do, you have to be able to live with yourself at the end of the day regardless of what others may think of you. I have my own opinion as to why some porn stars won't "cross the line" but I wanted to hear yours.
-- Modified on 4/21/2006 12:23:57 AM
...why some pornstars are not available for private meetings!!Especially when they happen to be hot and "talented".
Everybody cares,at least on this board.
Bella wanted to know why some girls neglect the opportunities that escorting provides. The question I can't help asking myself is what some Under-The-Radar-Available pornstars are refusing so baldly to say that they are available for escort when everybody knows that they are doing porn (i.e. paid for having sex).I understand that for some mega-pornstars like Jenna Jameson or Tera Patrick it would do some damage to their image and maybe cut some possibility to exploit their fame. But these ladies are very few (and are not available UTR).No more than ten of them can be considered having this mega-pornstar status.
Why others, known but less known than these ones, like Kira Kener or Alexis Amore COULD BE (I'm not saying that they are actually)available Under The Radar but not saying it.Would it endangered their status or image?Everybody knows they are paid for having sex!!!
No intention to judge anybody.
I hope my english is not too bad.
God Bless America...
...surely that should be obvious to anybody.
Pornstar is slightly different. Depending on who you choose to talk to I guess.
What a silly debate this is. Par for the course I suppose.
I only responded the way I did because the question was posted by an agency.
I observe, wonder and inquire all over the place. I myself was just asking a question and look how you responded.
Bella is asking for justification, there is no true inquiry there.
on a matter
...Ron doing his best is about the worst thing that could happen to a young budding actress in porn. Apart from that Indian guy and old bald geezer with the glasses gonzo team. In escorting she might have to open up to a guy as worn out as me.
You can see why they demand the enhanced rate.
I know a beautiful dancer who wanted to go into mags/porn. She told me she could not stomach the thought of fucking the hedgehog at ANY price and that was the end of that.lol
2 things about your posts:
1. Do you even have to ask why some PS don't escort? There's a big difference between being a pornstar and being a hooker. Aside from the legal issues, the moral ones easily explain the difference. If you don't understand it, I don't think you ever will, with all due respect.
2. Escorting IS legal? Not in the United States it isn't. I guess if you mean escorting as in some rich ugly dude paying $1500/hr for some "model" to accompany him to his company party, without any sex. In that case, it's probably legal. But few guys would pay that kind of money without expecting sex. There's no such thing as "escorting". Escort is a euphemism for hooker.
