I was just reading on an industry website that Amy Ried was paid $5,500 to do a scene with 12 guys for Baker's Dozen with Brandon Irons. I don't watch porn at all but I am assuming that means she did a gangbang with all 12 guys! Now I am not talking about Amy Ried specifically because I've never spoken to her but it amazes me that while I have been fortunate over the years to represent more than 100 of the hottest porn stars there is there are still many that draw the line at escorting, even when they can make more than $6,000 a day to be wined and dined by a wealthy, educated, classy gentleman for say an overnight rendezvous in Las Vegas (this is just an example), but they have no problem making less money for a gangbang that probably takes all day to film! Why do you think this is?

Maybe, you should ask Amy Reid.  My sense is that woman that don't partake make a distinction between porn/gangbangs, which can be considered "art" and escorting, which, whatever way you slice it, is prostitution.

I'm not really an expert at this,but I think many girls in the industry don't do that only for the money.You are part of the "entertainment" world when you're a pornstar.Seeing yourself on the cover of a DVD or in magazines has some kind of attraction that escorting can not give.
And some girls might think that by escorting they're going to lose this "entertainer" status.
Maybe someone should think about making a magazine for escorts.I think I already know some of the top reporters...

I guess the only difference is safety in numbers. I guess some girls just feel more comfortable being in a room with a lot of people (cameramen, directors, other actors, etc.) than being one-on-one? For their own psyche, perhaps they can self justify one as "acting" vs. the more personal nature of a "date"?

My guess is that on one hand, the girl is surrounded by people she knows or knows of, she has a choice in who she's going to be having sex with, and if she's smart she has discussed before the cameras even roll exactly what is going to be taking place, and regardless of one's opinion of porn, it IS legal.

On the other hand, escorting isn't legal, she never knows who or what type of person is going to be standing in the hallway when she opens the hotel door, she's totally alone one-on-one with the guy, and let's face it, it's better for your family to find out you're a pornstar than it is for them to find out you're a call girl.

The fact that a girl is willing to have sex on camera for money automatically makes most guys think that they should also be willing to escort.  But it REALLY isn't the same thing.

Also keep in mind that Baker's Dozen isn't really a gang bang movie. The girl in the scene usually just has sex with one (sometimes two) men. The dozen part happens when another 11 or twelve guys then blow their loads on her face.

Amy has stated in more than one interview she is in porn for lots of sex not money. She is not interested in seeing guys who may have performance issues. By seeing guys who work in porn she pretty much does not need to worry about that.

That there are two factors, security, but once you get past that, the other factor is how one thinks of sex.   I've spoken to a more that a few PSE's and the difference is, sex for money is sex for money, whether there is one man in the room or a hole camera crew, it's still sex and you are still getting paid for it.  One the other hand the camera crew and that everyone there is also being paid to be there or has a financial interest in the production, and not just one horny guy, make a difference to an actress, (go figure?) and that is where many draw the line.

Look we all have to delude ourselves sometimes in order to cope.  As another poster mentioned on this thread, sex for money is sex for money... but by refusing to escort allows the lady to justify that taking money for having sex is in her case a legitimate form of art/entertainment.  If she steps over that line she loses her coping mechanism.  We all lie to ourselves at some point in time to get through the day.  We tell ourselves we love our jobs, we don't mind working 50 hours a week, that we don't think HDTV is worth the money that we can't afford to spend... etc.

As an escort you might be dealing with all different types of humanity that may present their own problems, both physical and emotional. I've spoken to all say escorting is much less work, the working conditions are nicer, no hot light, usually one pop, no stopping and starting and you're done when the hour is up. Most PS get 1K-2K per scene that can last 3-4 maybe even 5-6 hours. Most PS providers get 1K per hour and see 4-5 clients a day and some be multi hour appointments, one PS provider I know  will see 8-10 men a day, but she's nuts, and loves nuts

2 things about your posts:
