What's the point of HSV I testing? It's very common and many or most adults will be positive on blood testing for exposure at some point. Surely much of the industry is positive for exposure. What would you do about that anyways?

I once saw a PS actress/provider. She was crazy about safety, which I appreciate. I asked her fucking tons of questions about the biz. We some how got to talk about a service that does STI testing for performers. It is a more comprehensive, accurate, and fast test than one would get at their doctor or clinic.

Anyone know any PS STI testing agencies that would see non-performers in the NY metro area?

IMO, the ideal reason for getting a script from your personal MD is that it will be covered under insurance like any test or procedure is with the apporiate ICD-9 code, and this is what i do...

But since i book the appts (BB) i do, i also get a test from the place (CET, TTS) the industry uses...BOTH these places, like ANY testing facility are open to the general public...A lady at TTS told me while back "our services are open to anyone over 18" (yrs of age)...I cannot imagine a testing facility, in any state, that only "performers" can use..

I use TTS (Talent Testing Service, at http://talenttesting.com) which, despite its name, is for the public as well as the industry. They have partner labs around the nation such as Any Lab Test, Urgent Care, etc. The tests list and prices are here:

I get both the Full Talent Panel ($150) and the Herpes Simplex I & II ($85)
tests monthly. Plus the lab in your local area will charge a lab fee, usually between
$25 and $35 dollars.
