So in two weeks I will be seeing my ATF who is very UTR and I will not say who it is, so please don't ask. Over the years we've gotten together many times and spent a lot of time together both on and off the clock. I've met her boyfriend at the time, which was super weird, and several of her friends. Once had a foursome with her and 2 of of her friends, who were not porn stars, free of charge. We frequently just hangout when I'm in town. Probably talk, text or email with her a couple of times a week. I'm flying her to come and see me and the day we are getting together happens to be her birthday. Is it strange that she's choosing to spend her b-day with me and not her friends? Also, do you think I need to get her a gift and if so does anyone have any good suggestions? Anyone else ever been in a similar position? Any input on the matter would be appreciated.

In the scenario you've described, you apparently dissolved some of the boundaries of what presumably started as a discrete transaction.  Now, you're not sure of where you stand.  No big surprise there.  Thankfully there's a quazi-anonymous forum here to broach topics you are reluctant to discuss elsewhere.

But to play devil's advocate for a moment, I do think a birthday gift is appropriate for someone you see on their birthday, communicate with regularly and enjoy fuck-buddy status with. Acknowledging her birthday would be a wonderful way to reassure her that she's more than a cum receptacle to you.

I think you should give her a box of pasta. I'm sure you'll get a lot of other suggestions. Perhaps you might even think of something on your own based on your common experiences and conversations.

Treat her like a human being...if you care your gift should come from the heart. Realize that once a gift has left your hands to hers she may do with it whatever she desires...so be thoughtful. How would you want her to treat you in the same situation.Best wishes
