I've been looking at bodymiracles's website and the rates there are comical. $1300-1500 is the average hourly rate. Does anybody actually pay that?
For $1500, I'd have a 6 day trip to the Latin American country of my choice (incl. airfare, hotel, and some of the hottest cuties that you can imagine). I prefer Costa Rica, spent 5 days in October for $1200 total. I'm not a high-volume guy, I met 7 different chicks during my stay. Next trip coming up in a few weeks, then Rio is next. Just pointing out another option. Email me if you'd like more info. I'm not a salesman of any type, just a hobbyist who found something better.

Look, the bottom line is people find value in different things. Some people want a porn star fantasy. Some people want a tropical vacation with all the hotties they could do. Some people don't mind dropping $80,000 on a car- some people think buying anything other than well-kept, used cars is a waste of money due to depreciation.
Who you find desriable and what you want to spend money on to give you pleasure is ALL about what makes you happy, and it will be different things for different people. For some people, money won't be an object. In my case, it's extremely difficult for me to do more than weekend vacations, so I do my stuff stateside, and pay higher prices than I would in Costa Rica or Bangkok, so in my case, money is less valuable than my time. That might be one reason why someone might drop a lot of cash to see a porn star...
I am very curious on how much the porn star actually receives. I have a feeling that the agency takes a huge cut of the profit. I would rather cut out the middle man and give my cash directly to the girl.
In some, if not most instances, you can go directly through the star. This tends to be a little time consuming & you'll need to do a lot of homework, just search through this board & you'll see that a lot of porn stars book direct. I have heard that in most cases, the agencies take half of the rate.
The sad thing is that, yes guys do pay these prices. This is why the agencies thrive, and many of these girls think that they are above standard rates. Don;t get me wrong there are a few girls (kobe thai, april) I probably would splurge, but the majority aren't worht it...

Every so often I notice that a provider that has been popular and gets great reviews turns up as a porn star. I noticed in the thread below from Sophie's Choice that Ivanna DiCarlo is now listed as a porn star at a hell of a lot more money than she has been on her own site. Maybe she has made some movies, but I never noticed that in all her ads on the NY board before.
As to autos, some of us really believe that a great driving car is worth the price. But like paying for a porn star, the value has to come from the "drive," not from the fact that you can afford to "drive" it.
I think if you can get a PS contact info, you can bypass the agency. Although some won't deal directly, they want the agency to clear the client so that's what they're there for. I know Raylin (my only PSE) and Montana Gunn both take direct appointments.
The thing is, is any PS as economical as a trip to Costa Rica to score with the local hotties? Doubt it.
Like I said- it's about fantasy fulfillment. Heck, if it was just about cost-effectiveness, Rosie Palm and her 5 friends are as inexpensive as you get. But that's not what we want, is it?
