I had a great time at AVN both at the convention and many of the private moments that I shared with some local LV ladies and those in town at the convention.

Met many porn stars, got a bunch of autograph photos, etc. (but have no idea what the hell I'm gonna do with em- not exactly office wall material).

Anyway I observed one thing, some of the biggest named porn stars - i.e., instantly recognizable names - who were at the big video company booths _ VIVID, Elegant Angel, Digital Playground, Adam & Eve were the most gracious and appreciative of their fans (e.g., me) and any positive comments provided.  They seemed happy and gald we were there.

Kayden Kross seemed like a genuinely nice person, who was sincere, down to earth and just a pleasure to be around not to mention, freakin' beautiful with a million dollar smile.

Savannah Samson & AJ Bailey (a new starlet) also accepted my sincere compliments that they looked fantastic with genuine appreciation for my comments.

Katsuni was stunning and so serene in her presence, it's amazing to contrast that with the sex she has on camera.  She told me she loved my hometown so I told her she should move there and she nodded yes, I will think about it and gave me a great smile as we clasped hands goodbye.

Raylene was also so happy when I told her she looked just as good as when she first started out in porn in the mid 90s.

Alexis Texas had incredible energy on stage and seemed happy to be there.

Julia Ann the ageless beauty looked awesome as ever and was also appreciative of her fans.

Jessica Drake, Kaylani Lei & Alektra Blue accommodated us who were shut out of prematurely closed autograph line for Wicked Pictures, by posing for photos for hose of us who couldn't get close to meet them

Contrast this with some of the new comers, who seemed contemptuous that we were there and just wanted to move the line along so they could get the hell out of there.

Some newcommers who were also very nice included Shauna Sands & Kelli McCarty (one a fomer playboy playmate & the other a former Miss USA at Vivid);

Kira Diane who seemed like a nice girl and who did not let porn stardom get to her head;

Jessica Lynn who looked super cute as "I Dream of Jeannie" who freakin' sign over 20 photo blanks for some dude who was then going to resell them for a nice profit;

Riley Steele who posed for many photos and accepted compliments well.

Audry Butoni who was a good sport when I teased her that I liked her outfit better the previous day (fishnet dress vs. T-shirt) and had stunning brown eyes.

In contrast . . .

Missy Stone - who looks nice but needs a personality transplant was the worst,  She refused to stand for photos b/c she said she was saving her feet for the awards show.  When asked where she was from she said the east coast, when asked where on the east coast - Maryland - 'oh really where in Maryland" - the south. Her whole body language was, geez why do I have to deal with these losers.  It was so much of a turn off for me that I deleted her photos from my camera.

Isis Taylor - who short circuited any chance of a semi-normal interaction with ' "what's yer name honey" so she could sign her name on the poster and get rid of you.  First "honey" I'm almost old enough to be your father so address people with respect and you shall get that in return.

Our "favorite" "I am not a hooker" Jayden Jaymes came to the show with slippers on her feet.  She was more polite than the 2 above, but again, she just wanted to get things over with.  She did give a nice smile for the cameras though.

Asa Akira - who seemed to just move things along - although we talked about one of her new films and did not smile at all for the camera for me.

So is it coincidence, that those who are higher up the porn food chain are more gracious than those at the bottom.  I think not, just like anything in life, people want to be around positive people, hot looks carry you only so far.  No one wants to work with bitches, especially when even hotter, younger chicks are lined out the door looking to take your place.

Anyway, it was great to meet some of these girls, some looked better live than on video some looked worse.  The ones who looked great live were:

Alexis Texas, Tori Black, Savannah Samson, Alektra Blue, Kaylani Leigh, Jessica Drake, Sunny Lane, Julia Ann, Katsuni, Riley Steele, Teagan, Sunny Leone, AJ Bailey, Shauna Sands and the highlight of AVN for me Kayden Kross!

I missed out on Nikki Jayne, Tory Lane, Sunny Lane and PH Pet Erica Ellyson - maybe next time

who was a doll.  She was nominated for an award and was very nice, even before  i revealed we had a mutual friend from whom I relayed a message of congratulations to her.

I don't know if she won, but Jenni seemed very sweet.

Also Sarah Sloane (formerly Sarah Vandella) was very patient when I guy I enlisted to take a photo of us could figure out how to press the button, Thanks Sarah!

With the porn DVD biz in the shitter, the A list girls, and particularly the contract girls, know tey need to be ambassadors for their industry so they put on a good face and greet their fans with (genuine) appreciation.

But there will always be bitches... Tera Patrick is notorious for being a total cunt, even more so after she married dickface from Biohazard.

Over the span of my three AVNs I met a lot of truly fantstic pornstars, big names and small, PSEs and non-PSEs, but every year there were a couple who obviously were just phoning it in.

I was also thinking the lower level girls were not happy manning booths selling/promoting erection supplements, fake silicone handheld pussies, etc., when they feel they should also be in the studio booths.

Was hoping that you would attend so that I could meet you in person.

Sometimes you catch people on a "bad day" but, overall, the true professionals always conduct themselves in a professional manner.  And some are just genuinely nice people.

One performer who is not just one of the nicest porn stars, but also one of the nicest people you will ever meet, is Shayla La Veaux.  She is a true "people person" and loves to meet and mingle with her fans.  Another is Sunset Thomas.  At public events or in private sessions, Sunset dazzles with her beauty and personality and charm.

In that same group of genuinely nice people are Julie Meadows, Heather Hunter, Tabitha Stevens and Daisy Marie who, along with being beautiful, are also sensitive and articulate.

Some of the superstars who are surprisingly personable are Jesse Jane and Jenna Jameson and Janine and Julia Ann and Stormy Daniels.

Going back a bit, some of the stars who were very conversational and showed a genuine interest in asking questions about general life topics not related to porn are McKayla, Jeanna Fine, Sarah Jane Hamilton and Ginger Lynn.

And like your experience, I have only encountered a few stars through the years who were either having a bad day, or acted as if they wanted to be somewhere else:  Carmen Luvana, Mary Carey and Kylie Ireland.

This has been my 3rd AVN awards and I must
...yes the business is on the downhill slide. The attendance from the 1st one is is down over 50% in my opinion.  The AEE convention was a real depressing and u didn't get what u paid for as far as I'm concerned.  I paid early to get the good rate and then when I came to check in they said they wanted another $20.00 to upgrade to VIP or wait another hour to get in.  To me this is literally blackmail.  The main producers were blocked off and u had to pay more to get to see them..to make a long story short..I won't be back and I would recommend not going.

You raise a good point about the hours you keep during AVN.

However, it may be more of a pet peeve of mine when I am addressed with a term of endearment from someone I just met - "honey," "sweetie," "buddy" seem in a twisted way condescending if it comes from someone you first meet.  

This holds true for providers, porn stars, grocery store cashiers, the lady at DMV, etc.

The safest and most polite way to address someone IMHO is not even sir, ma'am, but rather - "Hello" "Hi" "How are you" without anything further.  It's neutral, not condescending nor ass kissing IMHO.  

It's the way anyone in a business setting should address a customer or how a customer addresses someone at a business IMHO.  I know it may sound too formal, but many of us in my generation were taught that way and we still do so when addressing strangers.  Maybe that's too old school or I shouldn't expect that at AVN, but I guess I'm just an old fart.

Accordingly, I took your greeting the wrong way.  But since you're in the public eye and since fans don't get to spend much time with you, the first impression becomes the lasting impression.  Again, this is not a slam, but just something I want to point out - you may take it for whatever you deem it to be worth.  

I am offering this peace branch in my response to say let's start over.  You did look wonderful, I wanted to get to know a bit about you, but felt cut off by how you addressed me.  No worries, I've since looked up your videos and enjoyed watching you in action.

to be honest whether you know it or not you know me on the most personal level, and you coming to see girls at AEE or any other convention its not a buisness deal or anything like that so me addressing you as "good day sir, whats your NAME?"
