Or, maybe she just doesn't like many other girls out there.  This is the risk you take contacting girls on myspace.  How does she know you aren't LE looking to jam her up? It could very well be that she does provide UTR but would never answer message on stalkerspace.

Some girls feel insulted with such questions and they have every right to be. Just because there are a lot of girls who choose to meet their fans privately doesn't make it so other girls have to or should.

I've ever had a hostile response from using Myspace.  I got something similar.  She didn't threaten to turn it over to Myspace.  She sent a one sentence response along the lines of "How rude.  Never contact me again."  

Every other PS I've contacted has either:  (1) never read it to begin with; (2) read it but didn't respond; (3) read it and politely declined/said she didn't escort; (4) read it and told me to contact a particular agency; or (5) read it and expressed interest.

Know Shawna Lenae personally from shooting her on sets. In this Caliber of porn stars this is about as good as it gets with rare exceptions in terms of good attitude. Imagine how many obsessed fans there are out there. Yes, the average person on the street would probably be "insulted" or shocked or lest just say...might not react positively to the offer.  But, you're really comparing apples and oranges.  Porn Stars with public Myspace pages get propositioned one way or another all the time, as they do when they're at conventions, etc.  

From guys (and girls) that want to rescue them or date them or hook up with them at a club or whatever, they get asked similar questions in one way or another all the time.  Its part of the territory and Shawna knows it or at least she should.  One could argue she invites it by having a public MySpace page.  If she really wanted to stop these types of inquiries, she could make it private and keep her MySpace friends limited to actual people she knows.  She could also post a brief statement on the page.

The LE and UTR comment has more merit, though, as was stated earlier, instead of being hostile, she could have said, "I don't escort." and leave it at that.

A lot of PSE's arrange meetings by contacts made through their MySpace pages, public emails, etc.  A lot of PSE's book direct and use their own screening processes, including requiring and checking references.  I have seen a number of porn stars on or above Shawna's level after initially contacting them through their MySpace page.  Its a fair and reasonable resource or tool to use if you want to try to book a PSE direct.

Contacting Shawna directly and politely asking if she escorts is not unreasonable.  She is, of course, free to react or not react in any way she chooses but a simple, "I don't escort" or simply not responding at all would have sufficed.

Dude, NEVER contact anyone on myspace regarding escorting. This should be common knowledge. Why didn't you just go to the club she was dancing at and introduce yourself as a huge fan and flatter the hell out of her. You're next step would have been to buy her a drink and engage her in intelligent conversation. Then, politely ask her if she ever does bachelor parties or private shows. If in fact you have been a gentleman and showed an interest in what she had to say, then she won't be offended by the question. Been there done that on several occassions and have never been confronted with "how dare you ask me that, i'm not a prostitute." The lady will simply decline the offer politely. To increase the chance that she will say yes, i let her know that i will take VERY good care of her (financially). Only on rare occassions has this not worked. You just have to eliminate the creep factor.

Actually no... prostitution is not legal is all of NV but only certain parts of NV. That's why prostitution is illegal in Vegas and only legal in the outskirts, that's why the bunny ranch and other legal NV brothels are so far from Vegas.
