In addition to weighing in on its choices for President, CA. senate, etc., the LA Times weighed in on Measure B and encouraged people to vote NO on it..
Someone posted a thread on this topic couple weeks ago, and wposters mentioned what this may mean for the industry and moving production elsewhere, etc..
Perhaps I'm biased on this issue, because if you haven't seen any of my previous posts, I'm not a fan of condoms, whether it's in films or privates..
There are alot of items on the CA ballot, in addition to the POTUS, Senate, & Congressional races, there are 10 propostions (Props 30-40) appearing on the ballot..
The LA Daily News, which is based in the San Fernando Valley has also come out against Measure B. The Daily News agree with what the Valley Industry and Commerce Association mentioned that idea of protecting Adult Film workers is noble but by trying to protect a small group of people(280 performers), this measure would be endangering the livelihoods of about 10,000 behind the scenes workers. This measure would jeopardize one of the Valley's largest industries and revenue providers, which would reduce the city coffers.
I have no problem with condom use in porn or in personal life but I do not like the Government telling me or anyone else when to use one. Why is the Government wasting time on this when they cant even balance their budgets or fix sidewalks.
