This board deserves a forthright explanation. I don't know Tanya at all so this isn't about her at all. I would assume she's a fabulous lady to spend time with.

Tanya posted her availability on this board on September 19, with her direct link showing her rates starting at $1000 per hour. Now yBodymiracle is featuring her at $1600 per hour.

Does Bodymiracle have any rationalization or justification for the disparity in rates, or do they just assume TER members don't mind being taken advantage of?

And you might explain why it would be advantageous for the TER board members to contact Bodymiracle for any of the other girls you feature that brings up the same conundrum?

I agree, especially in this economy.  Does anyone actually use BodyMiracle or any other "porn star agencys" that gouge so blatantly?  

The rates on their website would be hilarious - if they weren't so insulting.

...that's gotta be worth an extra $500-$600 for those who don't have to quibble over pricing to begin with.

The rest of us can stick with the 300 Club and be equally happy.

Along the same note i saw a post above from Pamela Peaks. I guess I wouldn't mind the prices she lists uder her talent section except that if I go to that star's website their is a huge difference in one case where Pamela's site listed a certain star for $1500/hr the star's site stated for $1500 she was available for 4hrs. I don't know about you, but it made me say hmmmm!!

While I understand the rationale behind bringing this disparity up, I don't think anyone with experience would be surprised by the difference in rates and the agencies aren't going to change anytime soon.

That's not to say I'm justifying it, but it's long been the case that agencies charge on average 40-60 per cent more than direct booking, sometimes more. And that's when the girl's in her home city, so no travel/expenditure involved.

Personally, I don't bother with agencies and haven't for years. The only intermediaries I've used where I couldn't make arrangements myself are Pam Peaks and Lexxi Tyler, who levied a much more reasonable commission than the agencies. Tanya's actually listed with Pam at a much lower rate than Body Miracle.

However, don't let all this cloud the decision to see Tanya since experiencing her Miraculous Body is a decision you won't forget! lol

They provide a service.  People pay them for the service and must do so quite often because they have been around for at least the past decade.  I myself vote with my wallet and have not used their services due to the high cost of admission and the availability of talent through other means.  So quit bitching about their rates, if no one used them, they would cease to exist.

Think with your wallet and never go thru agencies..

Contact the provider directly and have your references ready..

Contact them thru their personal websites,

their ads on Eros and City Vibe,

make an account on Myspace and message them on their,

and follow them on Twitter...

I have always been weary of doing this to a porn star who has a myspace or twitter account. If they are UTR or not known to escort and you respond politely asking about if they do provide, won't some be offended by the question? Also you may be responding to a manager or someone other than the porn star themselves.

About agencies, I thought most knew if you see a girl through an agency you can always expect to pay more (an agency tax so to speak) than if you are able to contact the porn star personally because the agency takes part of the donation.

Problem with MySpace is that there are a lot of girls who will say they don't escort when they in fact do escort. If they are openly available they might say yes, but if they are UTR, they might say they don't.

Getting paid! Who else here would charge less for something if they could get someone to pay more? It's like when people complain about athletes leaving a team to go to another for more money. How many people would change jobs to do the same work but get paid more?

This demand for a justification is ridiculous. They are charging what they get people to pay. We may think it's too much, if that's the case, then don't pay. But to demand a justification is like demanding a justification of capitalism.

I see one "porn star" with PP who charges $1500/hr. But on her own site she charges $280/hr and $800 for 3 hrs.

Supposedly, and i've heard this from a number of ladies, a lady will advertise her tour as an independent but also have an agency promote her as well.  The explanation i've been given for this is that some guys prefer to work with agencies...which i have difficulty in believing, but i guess some high rollers who don't care about $$ might book through an agency which knows them rather than  giving out their personal information to any number of ladies...

I'm not saying that any of this makes sense, but there is some logic to it...

Lets get down to specifics.  Provide a link so we can all see who you are talking about, whether it looks legitimate, etc.

I am sure she is lovely to spend time with, but imho, she's not a 4 figure girl!

I don't travel but I always assumed if I did I should charge abit extra to help cover traveling costs. I'd still be paying my apartment rent while I would be in another state paying for a hotel and expenses. And if you have pets you have to have someone pet sit too. Its costly to travel...and no guarantee's you'll come home with more $ than you left with.

I believe agency's state thier extra fee's contributes to their advertising. They also do the screening and say security for their girls to. That's what they tell the girls, so they understand why their getting a big cut of the rate anyway. I'm Independent and always have been btw.

Just some inlightenment of what I've been told over the years.

We all have the right to our opinions, and I respect yours, but how can you make that judgement without ever having met Tanya? I'm sure there are plenty of porn stars people would consider "four figure girls" ie that's what they're willing to pay, only to have  the experience not live up to expectations. Are they still a four figure girl afterwards? When you see the four figure rates listed for the majority of PSs in the US, I don't think it's unreasonable for Tanya to be in the same bracket. And in IMHO there are no girls in LA hotter!

If ever I decided to unretire and spend the $49 I have to my name, I would give it to D&S and let him negotiate for me. 13 s would show up to my room for an overnight and I would still have enough left over for a Big Mac value meal.
