I've only had the chance to watch the first two episodes, so as for me the jury's still out.

One thing different about the new version is that it seems to be as much about number 2 as it does about number 6, and I guess it's a sign of the times, but unlike the original which was all about free will and individualism, the new version seems to be about what truly constitutes happiness and whether free will is more important than personal safety and inner peace.

At least that's what I got from the first two chapters.

slow pace and mediocre acting. I'm not a fan of re-creating anything.

The turning point for me was the reshoot of "Psycho", done shot for shot. What on earth was that for? Has no one an original idea anymore?

I'm a huge fan of the original.  But, i didn't last past the first two hours of the remake.

It was slow and boring.  The acting was horrible.  The script was entirely predictable (unlike the original) but still didn't seem to have a clue as to what it was trying to say or where it was going.  I deleted the other 4 hours from my dvr and haven't looked back.

I've only seen the first two episodes too - the series won't be transmitted until next year here in the UK.

It's definitely much slower than the original, and Jim Caviezel is no Patrick McGoohan, but I do think Ian McKellen makes an excellent Number Two. I will see it all the way through.

Huge fan of the original show. Really wanted this one to work for me.

I thought the actor who played 6 was weak. Other cast was fine.

I thought if they were going to do "episodes" (and they did but played them back two at a time) they really needed a finished story arc for each "episode". There were some separate themes but not enough to keep me engaged. Because of that, it just felt like a very, very long movie.

I think trying to re-capture the original "Prisoner" is very difficult. It was sooo different for its time. That is what made it what it is. (IMHO)

A remake would have to be so far out there in this day and age of media.

Be seeing you...
