I wrote a couple of articles on this topic awhile ago, so I figured I'd share one here. I feel very passionately about the whole topic and pushing the level of acceptance of escorting in the porn world. let me know what you guys think.

I like the article. I don't know if anyone should put a ton of stock into what Lisa Ann says these days; she seems to be into burning bridges, not building them.

It seems like she's playing on an odd dichotomy, i.e., porn is okay but escorting isn't. It hits on the idea that even porn users have their sexual hang-ups. Porn is essentially passive. You watch, you masturbate, you come, you clean up, you go back to whatever you were doing. Who can really get so judgmental about that?  Seeing an escort requires money, getting approved, preparation, lying (sometimes), keeping your cool, and having the nerve the break the law so deliberately. Seeing escorts is far riskier than watching porn, maybe one reason why porn gets more acceptance/is less stigmatized these days.

Also, this is a woman who's been paid for having sex for years dissing other women for getting paid to have sex. She probably thinks it's easier to criticize her female competitors as "fallen women" rather than blame the larger customer base.
Seems a little cynical to me

Read the article, guys.  It's smart and to the point.

But you also gotta see the Lisa Ann video linked in it.  It's a hoot!

I LOVE Lisa Ann.  One of my ATF, but she is WAY off base on this one.

Talk about being judgmental.  Referring to providers as engaging in "risky" behavior and only doing it to make money for "themselves?"  Man, talk about a total LACK of self-awareness!

I do agree with the MAJOR point of Lola's article: it's not porn "stars" seeing their fans that's ruining the business, Lisa Ann.  Like OTHER popular media, from music to literature, its the DIGITIZATION of it, and trying to find a way to monetize it.

Lola, you are completely right on point !
I guess it's not reasonable to poo poo Lisa Ann's response based on just a 3 minute video interview, but she definitely comes off as old school and not willing to accept change and go forward.
That's what capitalism is BABY !

I think the infighting among sex workers is ridiculous.  Strippers think they're better than porn stars and escorts because they don't actually have sex with anyone.  Porn stars think they're better because they only have sex with a limited number of partners.  Escorts think they're better because they don't expose themselves to a huge audience.  The truth is, the only difference is in the legality (or lack thereof).  Lisa Ann has fallen prey to the porn star attitude, and thinks that just because escorting is illegal that she has a leg to stand on.  Her "victim" attitude that porn stars who escort reflects negatively on her isn't any different than the feminazis using "trafficking" to justify controlling the bodies of sex workers because in their diseased minds it reflects on them as women.

No kidding. Who the hell enters the sex industry or any other for that matter to make money for anyone else? Fucking communist.

Also, her rambling TOTALLY doesn't make sense. Is she trying to say the porn industry should be some sort of co-op? How?? lol

I agree, Lisa Ann is so hot.. but she needs to just stick to fucking on film and keep her opinions to herself. lol

lol see previous reply of mine about communists... haha

Lisa Ann has a tendency to put her foot in her mouth - without even realizing it. Its just so hypocritical. Who do you think paid for her "business"? Probably a sugar daddy. I mean, sure maybe she did, but I will be first to admit that making large lumps of cash periodically for your whole life does not lend itself to learning proper money management skills ;)

This is a great response.

When I started in the sex industry 8 years ago... I started as a Pro-Domme. Then I decided that was dumb and I wasn't going to adopt this attitude of "I'm not a prostitute because I only let you eat my ass"

So I started doing "full service" kink sessions. And I made A LOT more money than any other gals in that scene back in Chicago and of course I was hated on those boards, etc. But guess what - my clients loved my ability to be fluidly sexual.

You're right on point with the feminazi comments. So many feminists are driven by personal issues and insecurities around their own personal boundaries - as are many of  these old-school porn stars. People get stuck in their ways and attack those who are brave enough or just have the desire to pus boundaries of their own.

I hate the sex-worker on sex-worker and feminist-on-feminist hate. I almost never refer to myself as a feminist because I think the term has been perverted to represent these radical feminists that just prove all opposing points correct with their insane, unreasonable opinions.

Agreed. Its kind of a run around, nonsensical way of blaming other women who are obviously making more money.

Very nicely done!  Porn as a co-op is an interesting concept from Lisa Ann?  I was always under the impression that people got a job to earn a living such that they can provide a decent life for themselves and their family.  For myself, personally, I would like my industry to thrive and survive because that means I stay gainfully employed.  At the end of the day, though, I still need to make sure I am evolving such that if my industry fails, I can find something else.

Porn and porn stars, it seems, are missing that notion.  Nothing is static.  We don't live in a bubble.  You have to recognize the changes occurring around you, and change and grow with them.  If not, don't be surprised when you become irrelevant.

Evolve or fade into black.
