  This goes out to all the veterans (fasteddie) and the non-vets as well.  I was thinking about this the other day, one of those things that make you go hmmmmmmm…

  Do you think there should be some statute of limitations regarding calling yourself a PSE escort??  This is what I mean...
If you have not shot ANY movies in a few years, but still escort marketing yourself as a pornstar, should you still call yourself a PSE ?
For example…
Brittney Skye…I cannot recall the last time this girl shot a movie, yet she is listed at Sexysecret as being avail as a PSE for way over 1k/hr…hmm
To my knowledge, Keisha ain’t shot nothing in a LOOOONG time either.  Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Call me crazy, but SOME may put forth the argument that a true PSE is someone who is still actively shooting movies at the time of your encounter with her.  I know there will be disagreements and different opinions with regards to this, but I just wanted to put it out there to get my fellow hobbyists’ feedback and perspective on this.

Want proof?  Suppose that tomorrow Vanessa Del Rio -- who has not made a movie in probably 20 years -- announced that she was becoming an escort.  So Vanessa Del Rio wouldnt be a PSE??  I DONT THINK SO!!

When a girl decides to fuck on camera, it's out there forever... No matter how long ago she shot her last movie, you can find her on the internet; so as far as I'm concerned, give the lady her props... she's a pornstar.

If she goes into a business to apply for a job and the people recognize her, they don't say "Oh, you're a RETIRED pornstar so we'll certainly hire you.  

Once a pornstar, always a pornstar.  And I'd give women like Brittany Skye or Keisha that title a lot quicker than I would some of these new girls who make one or two movies and start escorting and calling themselves pornstars.

  Your perspective is always appreciated.  I did not have a solid formulated opinion on this issue.  Thats why I put it out there for the fellow hobbyists to opine. Like I said...it was one of those thoughts that make you go hmmmmmm.

There are ladies in the adult video biz that have indeed established themselves as "pornstars"..and will forever be so...makes no diff if they are currently doing movies or not....like Brittany Skye [ is she really escorting again?]...  What bothers me are the ladies that might have been in a couple shoots, but certainly never obtained much stature claiming to be a PS and inflating their fees...they might better be refered to as porn actresses....

Porn Star... Porn Actress... i don't much care for the semantics part of the argument. Look, the girl can call herself what she wants, will it really make a difference how much you'll pay? So, she inflates her prices, well, don't see her. Does it really bother you that she lists herself as a porn star and uses that as an excuse to raise her rates?

I don't think any of us here would see a girl claiming she is a porn star and not know if she was one or not. And with the internet we can see all the movies she has done and then we can make our own decision.

As to Eddie's point, I agree 100%, once you have been in a movie, you are a porn star. It's like an actor who stops doing movies and only does TV work. Is he not a movie star still?

How many girls are really porn stars? Now when I say porn star I mean that they get recognized in public or if they have a signing that a minimum of 50 people show up? I know when I saw Ginger Lynn the Hotel Valet nearly shitted in his pants and said "Wow you are Ginger Lynn"..I have been with many ladies who have done porn and I have never had that reaction..

The only porn stars out there are really Nina Hartely, Ginger Lynn, Ron Jeremy and maybe Memphis Monroe..If Memphis would have started porn back in the 80's she would have been a bona fide star but today with the internet it is hard to be a star..

The rest of the ladies who post here and that escort I would categorize as "Women who have fucked on film"

I agree with Eddie- Nina Hartley, Angelica Sin, Ryan Conner, Angelica Sin, etc. are pornstars no matter when they stopped doing films- they are more a pornstar than the girl who happens to do 1 or 2 internet scenes and you never heard of who claims to be a pornstar

While I agree that a girl who does a few films is not a pornstar saying only the individuals you listed are really the only pornstars is just crazy.

I agree pretty much with Danny Ocean.
Two points make someone a Pornstar IMHO:

1.) They must still be actively making adult films or scenes; and should have made at least 25 films.

2.) If you can actually visualize the adult film actress by hearing their name only, and point 1 is true, then they are a Pornstar [ie Taylor Wane, Tabitha Stevens, Nina Hartley ].

I mean Barry Bonds is an ex-Major League Baseball player, an ex-Navy Seal or Tiffany Sheppard ex-teacher.

Kathy Willets, Alex Arden, Loni Mallory are escort's, not really Pornstars.

If you don't agree with what I posted, I know you will agree with the fact that Alex Arden in just so sexy and beautiful!

You think Ginger Lynn and Nina Hartley are more recognizable than Jenna Jameson? People recognize girls like Jenna Haze, Janine, Jesse Jane, and many others all the time.

There are girls here who are bonafide porn stars and that post on here.  That's like saying that only Tom Cruize, Marlon Brando, James Dean, and Brad Pit are movie stars, the rest are just dudes who acted on film.

And yes you are right Jenna Jameson is a BONAFIDE porn star..And the richest!

I agree up to a point....I do think the word "porn STAR" is way overused most folks in porn are porn actors in much the same way people in regular films are just actors not full fledged household name "movie STAR'S".  I agree there has to be some sort of recognition factor to be a true star. I mean at least she should be recognizable to folks who watch porn, when even porn fans are not sure of her name then she is not a star yet.  A lady with crossover fame like a Jenna J who even folks who dont watch porn recognize would be a true mega star.  I also agree Memphis Monroe fits the definition of star because trust me people recognize her and yes if she had been of the 90's era she would have been another Jenna or maybe even out done her.  Now on the practical side though I think the very word pornstar has now pejurated to mean anyone who has sex on film and doesn't differentiate whether they are well known or just a webgirl, Eddie is correct as well if you have ever had sex on film and are then involved in some public scandal trust the press will refer to you as a "pornstar"....so if your stuck with the title you might as well use it to your advantage.... And to me I could care less if a girl has made one or one thousand movies I am only going to see here if I find her attractive and further will only pay "porn STAR" money to see a "porn  STAR "....I might see a porn actor if she is my type but I'm not paying a star rate to do so

A pornstar will always be a pornstar, like a military person will never be a civlian, just an ex serviceman
