She is right about the lack of flirting and talking between the talent. This lack of communication/flirting is way too common in sessions as well.

Very well said Ginger...I met GL at a place in La Mesa Ca in the middle 1980's....she was a mega star then and I was a very young college guy then...I had the feeling we could click if things got interesting...she was very hot, blonde, tanned, etc...but I remember her most as a very nice person...polite to her fans and just down to earth....everyone knows her ups and downs but she is absolutely right on porn today...

I have seen Ginger recently and she still looks great. She is also one of the nicest people I have met in the hobby.

You're right, Cortez, Ginger seemed like she really enjoyed meeting and speaking with her fans.  In fact, I recall a San Diego adult book/video store owner complaining, during Ginger Lynn's appearance in 1987, that Ginger was spending too much time with each fan.  It was hurting sales because the long line was not moving quickly enough, and a lot of people left because they did not want to wait.

But that was Ginger Lynn.  A "nice" midwestern girl who, despite her superstar status, always seemed to be too much of a romantic to really be comfortable with the life of a porn star.

Everyone looks for something different in their porn star experience.  For me, the greatest have been Sunset Thomas and Nina Hartley.  Sunset because of her bubbly and funny and folksy personality, a knockout who truly was born to be a porn star and provider.  And Nina Hartley because of her amazing intelligence and education, her scientific approach to sex (I believe that she is still a Registered Nurse), and such a shrewd business woman.

It probably sounds ridiculous, but although I have been a Ginger Lynn fan since she entered the industry, and I still receive emails regularly from her, I just cannot bring myself to book with her as a provider.  There is a deep "sincerity" and "vulnerability" about Ginger that would be very appealing in a girlfriend.  But I prefer providers that are a lot more superficial, those that treat it more as a job than something personal.

Ginger has always been at the top. Prettiest face, best overall figure, every body part is A+, comes across as very sexy and dirty but also as extremely sweet, AND she did EVERYTHING. Back in the day she was like the substitute girlfriend for a very lonely me. I shared some of what was going on with me back then and how having her films helped me through some extremely tough psychological times and she was very kind to me.

The vibe her as so extra-special skyrocketed for me when in an interview --late 80's/1990?--Paul Thomas was asked who the best partner in terms of sexual performance was and he said hands-down it was Ginger.
