I recently set up a meeting with a Porn Star (through a lesser known agency) while on a business trip and she flaked. I placed the deposit about a week before with the agency on my CC. At the time of the scheduled appointment, she had a ton of excuses/drama as to why she couldn't make it on time. Then, her getting there late became getting there the next morning. Based on my travel schedule it wasn't going to work, so I left it at 'maybe next time' with her. The agency never offered a refund of the deposit. Obviously I would like one, but am wondering if it may impact future attempts (although that seems unlikely at this point). I haven't listed names in this post as I am assuming they might read it. I feel like I'm walking a bit of a tightrope asking for the refund. Anyone have any advice/experience with this 'shit'uation?
No matter how well reviewed the provider or agency is. And yes I know I'm missing the opportunity to see some escorts. So I just move on from the escorts/agencies, who require a deposit.
I've said this time and time again: NEVER, EVER, EVER give a deposit!
I'm amazed at how many people post about getting burned after giving a deposit and yet people still do it. I know - there are plenty of people who give deposits and have no problems. That's fine. But, the fact is, that it is ALWAYS better to have the money under your control than in someone else's especially when engaging in this type of activity. If she wants her money, if the agency wants their money, then she has to show up. It's as simple as that. At least you put it on a CC. You can always dispute the charge... And, btw, you should post the name of the agency and the girl...
Even when you're in the same city porn girls flake. They even flake on porn shoots.
And unless you absolutely can't find the other girl(s) you want to book with at another agency (I'm assuming that's why you don't want to name them) you should publicly name the agency and the girl. Or at least the girl that flaked. And as someone suggested dispute the charge.
I know a lot of the girls and agencies don't like seeing that but what were talking about here is simple economics, there are a lot more porn chix who are escorting than there are guys who are looking to see them. Just glance and note that there are over a million reviews on this site alone! (I also know they don't like seeing this either but TER is not the whole of the escorting universe as well) Narrowing it down to a search with just three toggles, "United State, All Cities, Porn Star," you still get over 100 page of reviews. So to parrot my brothers above, I too have never put down a deposit and never will. There's no one I need to see that badly.
You don't intend to use the agency again. Agencies that take deposits and the appointment does not happen will apply it to your next appointment. If you don't want to use this agency again then let them know and get your deposit back.
Sorry you went through this. First, never give a deposit no matter what. Second, name the agency and girl so we won't go through it. You wouldn't us to go through it. Third, stick with the main agencies. I've only used Lourdes and TLC. Like everyone said, fight the charges on your cc.

If you get verified with them without a deposit, they will send you a list via email. It has a lot of UTR blanks in it, but you'll see most of who they have on their roster. Then if you travel somewhere and them know when and where, they will send you a list that shows who is there at that time. The deposit gets you a login to their website with info about rates (i am told, don't have a login myself) and some of the UTR girls.

You have 60 days from the first statement date upon which the charge appears to dispute a charge. That's federal law and the credit card companies are aware of it. So, in other words, if the closing date of your statement is March 5 (for example), you have until May 4 to file a dispute.
Since most banks and credit card companies now handle this over the phone, or the Internet, you can pretty much do it quickly but if you do it over the phone, send a letter as a follow-up since that preserves your rights. The idea of giving 60 days is so you have time to try and resolve the issue yourself. (Not a lawyer... but I've dealt with many credit card disputes over the years.)
Well, soon after I posted this, they contacted me. Obviously if they read the post they knew I wanted a refund. However, they did not provide one as yet.
I have given deposits to other agencies before without issue. Obviously the meeting didn't go as planned. That's not my problem. I'll be leery of deposits in the future. I try to book direct, but that isn't always possible.
