(i was hoping my PM had already reached you, but what the hell, i might as well put this up on the board, heck it may even get a rise out a man, woman or two! ;-)

--

see the thing is this, if you were writing these reviews for us guys only, you could get as graphic as you want, but the thing is the ladies READ IT TOO and even though they may do those things they don't like to see themselves portrayed as "sluts" (which they may or may not be, doesn't matter to my point)

another, more serious thing is, that there ARE deranged fans and nutcase stalkers out there that could misunderstand these reviews and do something crazy (with knives, guns!? whatever) so you could be endangering the ladies ... one of the most common complaints you hear from the providers is guys who come to a session demanding to get EXACTLY the same treatment that some other guy got, and if you read Eddie's last post here you'll see there's a reason why some guys don't!

there's a fine line between a "good" graphic review and a "bad" one ... it's just a matter of accepted tastes and standards ... (following in the footsteps of Eddie and other seniors always helps. you needn't write like them, but at least don't write any nastier than them!)

In order for a review to be of real use, some graphic content is necessary, but that's what acronyms are for... BBBJ, BBBJTC, DATY, etc. are all easy ways to describe specific activities in a relatively tasteful way...

I don't think explicit descriptions belong on the open forums, but can be useful in a database review... I tend to temper my reviews according to the pornstar... the wilder she is, the more graphic I usually get, because it's sometimes necessary in order to convey how crazy-off-the-walls she is.  The more GFE kinds of pornstar I tend to tone the descriptions down... it's a judgement call.

which i use (well more like adopted as of few months ago, seeing as how i'm a [cough] "playah" now like the rest of da boyz! ;-) ... is to be relatively "graphic" with PSEs, but less so with GFEs (like use acronyms only)

the rationale here is that PSEs are already public figures or "celebrities" whose "nasty deeds" have already been seen by and archived for the public ... whereas (nearly all) GFEs have private lives outside the profession and are (in some cases) pursuing careers that could be damaged by sudden exposure (not that PSEs don't have private lives but less private than GFEs i mean)

to put it in military terms (for the colonel ;-)  ... kinda like the difference between a professional soldier (who risks certain death) and a weekend reservist or whatever who'll never see combat .... hmmmm ... well, maybe not the best analogy, but you all get the point i think!

LOL

What is helpful to hobbyists can be painful to providers.  I will temper my graphic play-by-play when appropriate.

i agree with every one especially eddie and willie

depending on the wildness of the girl if she is crazy kinky or wild the review should be explicit

but if she is more a gfe then tone it down

I have been the target obn TBD VIP board BY huboo

Yes, good discussion. As a person whose profession involves writing, I can "get into it" when writing a review. However, the explicit reviews should be posted only in the "Juicy Details" section of this forum. As a courtesy, I e-mail a copy of the "review" to the providor prior to posting. That way she has the "right of refusal" :)

Several months back I wrote a review of a lady I'd seen. The conclusion of the review...with graphic details...was cut off when posted. The Lady specifically asked me to post the remainder to one of the regional boards.  When I did as she requested, one forum member was offended (it turned out that he'd seen her the same week that I did). The guy flamed me on the regional board, then started sending me threatening PM's! Ultimately it all worked out and the Lady was pleased with the review. So they DO read the forum!

Another Lady became upset when I hadn't posted the review that I "promised her" within a month of our meeting.  So... some of these ladies rely upon the reviews to further their business goals.

IMHO, graphic details are a help to a hobbyist, but should remain in the "Juicy Details" section.
Thanks for the topic....

I like 'em, for the info and the entertainment value.  If they all said, YMMV I'd have to say "Well, DUH!".  When I've discussed this w/others, I've called this the "cyber locker room" where guys tell their stories of conquest.  This is not an activity where you can go to work the next day and say; "Hey, guess what I did last night!".
