Unless you own the company I would advise against it.  You wouldn't be the first employee to lose a job over a bad decision made while partying on the company's nickel...

My company xmas party is coming up soon, and my favorite PSE ( a very well known PSE) is in town the same night.  I am considering taking her with me to the xmas party and enjoying time with her after.  have any of you taken a PSE with you to a company xmas party with which you work at?  how did it go, and could you offer any advice?

You would be making yourself and your date the center of attention. Not a good thing to do at an office party, ever.

Come on.  Get real here.  I would assume that you consider your workplace a professional environment.  If you're naive enough to think absolutely NOBODY at your company would know here (even vaguely)...you must be in your own world.  The problem is, if by any chance that recognition does happen...you become the outcast at work.  That's the farthest thing down the OPPOSITE OF PROFESSIONAL that you can possibly get.

The only reason...and I mean ONLY...reason you would do that is to give your ego a boost.  And if you're going to spend good money to pad your ego...man...that's in poor taste.

Why not go to the office party and schedule a later date.  If not, ditch the office party.

With all due respect and honesty...I believe that the girls deserve as much respect and attention as they are going to show you behind closed doors.  In that context, you're both "using" one another...but it's reasonable.  Taking her to your office party for your ego does nothing for her.  

I'd be surprised if a young lady would consent to go with you.  But if she did, I would hope you'd show her the respect of not.

Not at the company Xmas party but at the sales achievement club in Hawaii.  Guy was single and everyone assumed this wasn't his real "girlfriend".  Most of the wives had negative comments and most of the guys were drooling and telling their wives "real beauty" comes from within.  You can tell your PSE to dress down, real conservative, wear glasses, etc.  Can hide in a sophisticated way.  Can't hide much in a thong bikini.  Anyway, this guy had a ball and loved flaunting it in our faces.  He has always been a top sales producer, and always a stand up guy to me.  Lots of guys will stab you behind the back.  Management got a laugh out of it.  Go for it, but she has to be real conservative.  Unless you think this will hurt your job.  In my example, management doesn't give a rats ass.  As long as you produce.  Have fun.  I'm drooling.

Got nothing but positive feedback ever since!  Of course the fact that she's gorgeous, elegant and charming certainly didn't hurt anything.  Apparently, we were the talk of the party after we left, with people getting on line on their phones, doing some searching, culminating with "she has her own action figure?!?"  As with all things, such decisions are very fact specific so it really depends on the girl!  Of course, since the only true regrets I have in life are opportunities that were foregone due to some fear or concern over something silly, like whether other people approve of what I do, my motto is go for it!
