Does anyone else think paying a Porn Star $1800/hr is ridiculous or is just me?

Some people think it's ridiculous to pay $100 for a bottle of wine, or $500 for a dinner out. Others do not.

for me I like the celebrity factor of being with a girl from the videos...

Thanks for solving the matter, bud.  But I'm open to other opinions.

A few years ago I would pay that with no problem
But I had a horrible session with someone at that level and I'll never pay that again.

REALLY want to see and that's what she charges, then if you want to see her, that's what your going to have to pay - it's her price of admission.

If all you want to do is see ANY pornstar - then it's fucking crazy to pay that much because there are a LOT of pornstars that you can see for a LOT less than $1,800 per hour!!

first a lot of pornstars are less than 1800- usually you are talking really A-level top name talent that is getting that much- also as said above, if you don't want to pay that much there are plenty of other options-  they are free to charge whatever they want, and you are free to see or not see whoever you want

That kind of money to some guys is like $100 to you and me. It's all relative.

Hell, in the days of prosperity, I had no problem dishing out much, much more for the right experience.  Now, I cringe a little when I think of what I spent "back in the day".  I still think the true PSE carries a premium and obviously others do as well.

Some independent A-list pornstars advertise that much but dont necessarily charge that much.  I have had two well known A-list who actually own production companies now tell me straight up ..."look u are an average hard working guy i will charge you $2000 for overnight (12 hours) but my $1500 an hour rate are for like Celebrities, executives, and millionaires who are paying for fantasy and a lot more."  So sometimes if they are not an agency they tend to be more sympathetic and understanding.

I have seen 2 porn stars. The most I paid was $1200. She was worth it if you ask me.  In fact I plan on seeing her again when she is back in town. Now $1,800  thats is pushing it - she would have to be Kayden Kross level hot

People whining about what ladies charge is a topic so old that it has white whiskers on it. Look, if you don't like the price, DON'T PAY IT. Supply and demand works, really, it does, really well. No demand at a price point, price goes down.

The fact that people do pay it means that, well, people have different values of what their money is worth than you do. Which is all good- they get the overpriced porn stars, you keep your hard earned money.

Have seen 3 PS, and overall I had a good time ( 1200-1500 hr) but afterwards you think I could have seen 2 top rated providers for that much for 2 hrs or 1 for 3. Right now for that much it would have to be someone really special.

JB1982 already said this as well and I also agree with Tonyrocc, also beware of possible buyers remorse. With that mentioned you only pay the high prices for your 'must see girls'. I have like a handful of 'must see girls' that I would pay that much for to meet. I'm not going to pay that kind of price for every pornstar just because she is a pornstar(that's crazy). Its up to you to decide if someone is worth that much or not.

The problem I would have paying that much is feeling I didn't get my moneys worth ... even if the provider was excellent . I still think it is about service . The most I eve paid was $1600 for two for two hours in London ( one had done some fetish porn) and based on the service I received I felt it was a bargin

My take has changed on this a bit, even though I never thought it as ridiculous. If someone wants to have an experiance with a certain PS then that is their choice I suppose.

As someone who usually between 300-500 as far as hourly rate goes, I personally think that a perfect 10 with a awesome performance rate can be had easily for that with no problem. The reason I have always thought 1k or more per hour for any provider would be out of the question for me is because I have had totally killer experiances in the hobby, ones I don't think can really be topped, for a third of a grand. I think I would think the donation would be regretted on my part because I feel the whole experiance can really only be so good, no matter who you are with.

In the past I have decided that seeing 3 ladies who are perfect 10 non-PS is better than one PS experiance.

But lately I have actually considered the prospect of seeing a PS as one recently visited whose representation said she might be sending others to my region. The reason I might consider it is because my region is so devoid of local talent and I am on the sidelines so much because the quality is so bad, I mean I might have to wait 3 to 4 months to see 3 or 4 girls come through that are perfect 10 so I might as well take a shot I suppose.

Then again, the last week a few agencies have sent a few girls to my region that might brighten things up. To sum things up, if your region has a steady number of hotties that can be seen for 3 to 4 hundred an hour I would be hard pressed to see a PS at a higher rate, like 1k or 2k, just too much fun over a spread out time could be had.

But I wouldn't blame the guy who still saw the PS if they wanted and prefered that experiance.

Not to insult you, but why don't I believe that claim. Perhaps a discounted rate for an "average guy" but I just can't believe 12 hours for 2000, cmon.

I mean believe what you will... sometimes its all about timing and the pornstars...if they work as independent and what they have going.  PM and I can send you the name of 2 that have done vids for big companies that will do overnights for $2k to $2.5k.  Actually its pretty smart..less hopping around less work and guaranteed $$

Demand alone does not make a market.  You need to have willing sellers.  Sometimes it takes 1800 to induce producers to bring their products to the market.

the price is market set. if the demand is higfh it will be higher, if the demand is low, you get the drift.
Pornstar PSE prices are set by several factors, quality of product, demand of product and service or services provided. The market doesn't pay 1.8k for the common product, but by the same token  the market won't bear a 10k price for just anyone. UTRs are, to me, buyer beware, to a degree. Sort of like chocolates in box, you never know what you are going to get.
There are pornstars that I would pay handsomely for, Asa Akira, Jesse Jane, and just for the bragging rights, Amber Lynn, if she is as still fine as she was when i saw her in 2005 dancing on the circuit. There are up and comers that would like to see like Marie Luv, Zoe Voss and Missy Minx but I don't think that the price is quite there yet. And of course, depending on the day you catch them, Holly Body or Savannah Stern are still quite a good finds. (not that I have been that active, just talking my wish list and about the way things are these days, it's pretty much a list)
But there are girls that are not even PS that are within the strip clubs I have been to that blow them away.
but like a said, the market will bear what the market will bear. Just takes one fool to come with a drunken sailor bid to fuck things up.

you need to not shop around because building the relationship is the most important thing. (I am talking the Business Freindship with aspects of a personal relationship)
Find out what you like. Do you like blondes? do you like fit girls or curvy? it's like trying to find a stripper for your 30minutes couch dance, you have your tastes and they are different than mine.
Once you have a n ongoing arrangement with a provider, ask her to be a reference for others. Most really aren't that possessive about clients but they are territorial about their money.
Who knows? One night you might get a call at 1 am after the girl was working at a club (most PSE's use clubs to work out both their routine and physically) and she might just be like "can you come over?" (and yes that has happened to me more than once and with different girls, back in the day)
It's not about bed hopping, although that is great, it's also about a client/provider realtionship and long term is always mutually beneficial.

What happened to you is exactly what I am concerned about happening to me at such a price point....
