first off dont forget that you had asked for a MUCH lower rate than normal..and only a 30 min date...
You told us that you were having text issues and we werent getitng all your texts. yes she did agree to see you...HOWEVER, we then texted you back and explained that her signing went late, and she didnt have time to see you cause she was hosting an AVN party and had to change and get around.

Sorry, you probably felt frustrated but this can happen once you know how things work. The agency isn't at fault and here is why/how it works. The agency helps the porn star with advertising their availability and setting up appointments and that is all. The porn star sets her donation and decides who (if any) she can fit into her schedule and where.

Now you also have to realize two key things about your appointment. You set it in Las Vegas (huge tourist trap) during AVN (huge porn fans wet dream).

So you are booking an appointment against these factors. If you set up a one hour appointment and another client tries to set up a two hour around the same time guess what. The porn star will most likely take the two hour (more $$$ for her time) and either bump you completely or try and reschedule for another time. The agency has to do the dirty work and in some cases they get blamed when it really isn't their fault. This happens. Also during AVN a porn star's schedule (on the AVN floor) can change quite a bit which is another factor you have to take into consideration.

If the porn star is there to just provide you would have better luck. If they are attending AVN your chances fall quite a bit. It isn't uncommon for an agency to ask for a room number. Why? So they can call the hotel to verify the person that booked the appointment is there. If you explain you won't have one until you check in that is usually fine. If however the porn star changes her mind and decides not to see anyone because maybe not enough clients booked her you could have been canceled on. The fact that they were trying to get you hooked up with Nikki (considering you seemed flexible) is as much as you can hope with an agency during AVN, in Las Vegas.

The agencie you are frustrated with has a long and positive history in the industry. You were wanting to book a top tier babe for a minimal sesion during one of the busiest times of the year for high end ladies in LV.

HUBH is fantastic. Nothing but p,radiant dealings on my end. Porn stars flake; that's the nature of the hobby. Find the ones who don't. And this agency has great girls and always eager to help. Don't give up on them so quickly.

I don't know helpubookher and I don't know exactly what transpired since I didn't see the text messages but, I have to say, that trying to book a date with a star that's attending a convention is very, very,very, very difficult.  Your best bet is to schedule the date for one of the "shoulder" days - the one or two days before or after the convention.

Remember, these girls go to AVN (and other conventions) to promote themselves and their films.  They make a lot of money doing these conventions.  Many have their expenses paid by their production company, or Hustler, or some other company and they have a responsibility to the company/person paying their expenses.  They cannot afford to blow off the convention, the parties, or other things they have been scheduled for - not if they want to keep working in the industry.  Many, many, of the ladies who attend these conventions do not have any free time or, if they do, it's a very small amount.

From another post, it seems you wanted a 30-minute date.  That may seem like 30 minutes of her time to you.  It's not.  At a minimum it's two hours - she needs time before the date to shower and dress and put on makeup to make herself a good date for you, and then she needs time after the date to cleanup and change before going on to her next thing.  Many of the girls simply don't have 2 free hours at these conventions.

So, the bottom line is, you really need to learn to be more flexible if you're going to make dates at conventions and maybe lower your expectations a bit.

There are always reasons, try to understand them. Bear in mind, you are only the most important person to yourself and no one else. Humility and nimbleness goes a long way.

AVN is a double edged sword.  You've got Porn Stars galore, not all are available, some are, but you have to compete with the demands of their schedules and obligations.

Contrary to our mindset, they're not there to do private appointments.  They're there to promote themselves, either at the behest of companies they work for or for themselves.  Many pay to have a table to do signings, sell photos, DVDs, etc.

For example, I had something set up with a PS I've seen several times before.  I ran into her at her booth and she actually said, "come by xxxpm and we'll go to your room."  So I did just that.  But she informed me she had to stay longer as she got there late and that she would just come to my room.  Now, I could have been all upset, but since I already knew her and trusted her.  I said no problem.  At the appointed time she came to my room and much fun was had!

I saw another PS I had seen previously and asked if she had time for me.  We had not set something up in advance, as I was still debating going to AVN or not.  She said she wasn't sure, as her schedule was pretty full.  She said to text her (yes I had her direct contact & no I won't tell who it is or give it you).  I did a day later.  She said she was still in town, but too hungover from the previous night.  Not a big deal.  I'll see her in LA at another point in time.

I mean be honest,  you are there for one thing to meet Porn Stars and to bang as many as your wallet can withstand.  They have many more competing demands and the agencies do not control any of it.  If things fall through with a PS have a backup plan with nonPS provider as there are many in town during AVN or save your pennies for another day.

If I were a PS, I would view private appointments as some extra money if it can fit into a schedule.  Many are also there to party, as most are in their 20s & 30s so you're not going to get many morning appointments.  No the best times would after their signings and before they go out to party.  

Therefore, an agency & you have a very small window of time to fit in a private appointment.  So even if you felt you were jerked around, it may have been beyond the control of the agency or even the PS herself. As what happened to me, if the people who are paying her to be there to sign tell her she needs to be there longer, she has no choice.

Establish a relationship with an agency, be courteous and reasonable and I'm sure they will be up front with you and do the best they can.  But don't ascribe bad motives just because things didn't work out.

I think you also have to bear in mind that the best of us miss appointments, make mistakes and genuinely get torpedoed by factors out of our control. An agency is just that, an 'agency' they can only represent someone not take control of their every move.
I recently had a lady completely forget an appointment after several confirmations and a booking time well in advance. Shit happens! thats life! she was sorry I understand and I will book her again one day. At least they got back to you and kept you informed. If their intention was to stuff you around they would have simply ignored you and not wasted their time and money on texts to and fro.

Sorry anyone else has had a bad experience.

I see a lot of people saying well you booked at AVN so you should expect this. And that might fly if the agency had said, "look dude it's AVN and you are booking a halfer. There is a big possibility that this may fall through.  Here's a list of other girls in case this one falls through so maybe consider picking a backup." Not only that it wasn't like he woke up that morning and got a cancellation. It wasn't even an hour before. They were actually directed him to a hotel for the meet. He's probably in a cab on his way there. And then 10 minutes out says it won't happen. So I get it that sucks.

On the other hand, shit does happen. I definitely agree this story could have had a happy ending (excuse the pun) if he would accept the apology and see how they might make it up to him. Given the chance the story could have gone, I had a nightmare cancellation at AVN. But the agency said they were sorry, helped me book another time with my dream porn star and I had a blast.
