Actually, the background colors were on some older tests I had...More recently, it's just a white background....A couple tests have centered at the top of the page: Westcliff Medical Laboratories w/a capital W that runs thru the title...I have one test that does NOT have the capital W running thru the Westcliff....The papers change constantly.....

I've always had AIM results back the next day, at home it takes at least 3-5 days, sometimes more....

wow this is sketchy. From the article. Whoever it was found out one day and worked the next. That's messed up if it is true.

[Updated at 8 p.m.: Dr. Colin Hamblin, AIM's medical director, provided a different timeline of events later today. Hamblin said the porn actress first tested HIV positive on June 4 and worked the following day for reasons he said were still being investigated. A second positive result came back Saturday. And the clinic is awaiting results of a third and final confirmatory test, he said.

Hamblin described the woman as having had two recent sexual partners, a fellow porn actor who worked with her on June 5 and her boyfriend, who is not in the porn industry. Those men have had sexual intercourse with an additional six people, who have all been notified and offered testing, he said.]

Anyone know who the woman who tested positive recently is?

Noone is saying. Why is that?

I know that there are privacy concerns, but public health issues should trump any one person's or group of persons desires to keep things private. By not releasing names of those infected AIM is risking further infection. Isn't it possible that some of the people that these actors worked with are a-symptomatic and have no idea that they were with someone who tested positive and therefore they continue to hobby or perform. AIM is completely wrong!!!!!!

they had a reporter down at the Erotica show prep reporting on how CA health officials were upset with AIMs for their lack of full disclosure and compliance

What was AIM supposed to do that they didn't do?

I heard that the girl received a positive test result from AIM, but then worked the next day. I assume she continued to show her old, presumably clean, test results.

Seems like a flaw in the process. If you have old results, but not TOO old, you can keep showing those old results, even if your NEW test comes back HIV-positive.

Eventually, movie producers are going to want to see updated results, but after how long? Six months? Three Months? A year?

Honestly, its the performers who need to be more careful.  Performers are taking it for granted that the tests are good.  Honestly everyone they work with should call AIM and not take for granted to the test they show you is the most accurate.   And if she tested positive and knew about it and worked, she should be put in jail, but I doubt she knew she was positive and still went to work.

They aren't going to release the name right away until all partners have been tested and retested and cleared.  Also, its a privacy act they have to follow.  The name will come out very soon either through hearsay or media.

One thing I've noticed is when I pick up the copies of the test, they always seem to change backgrounds (different colors, some say Westcliff, some don't)...The one MD's name, Colin Hamblin, is always on there.....I've been going there 3+ years now, & the copies I have from 2006 look totally different than the ones I have from more recently.....

In addition to the seal they (AIM) place on the copies, perhaps they should stick to one consistent background...

When I test at home, (and I looked back to 2004 as I keep all my copies), & the University Medical Center I use has pretty much had the same looking background the last five years or so....

Well, having never seen one of these reports I don't know what they look like.  My tests, I go in one week, give my blood sample, come back the next week and they give me the results.  All is totally confidential; I don't even give my name.  But maybe the reason for the changing background colors is so that they're more difficult to falsify?  Now, if the woman went to work after knowing she was positive, I don't know, saying that's wrong seems like such an understatement, but, that's wrong.  Shame on you lady.

I have noticed that as well on my own results and used to sort of assume that it was a way of secretly dating the results kind of like different colors for different months of motor vehicle inspections....but then as years passed I found it was just a result of AIM doing the best they could with the funds they have
I feel fairly certain (as it seems do several of my friends who are also in the industry) that the latest news is going to mean we will see some legislation or at the very least CALOSHA get more involved.....that can be a good thing as long as it does not become a tool to try and close down the industry in California
