I try to tell guys about giving a small gift on the front end -- I personally like earrings.  I call it YMMV insurance.

I have been ridiculed by a LOT of guys for that advice.  Typically, these are guys with a lot of low reviews for girls.  They have no clue why some guys are show a great time by a girl and they are treated like a John....

You set the tone for the hour to come in that first 30 seconds.  Showing up with a brightly colored gift bag, with some colorful tissue paper in it, moves you to the head of the class with a girl.  They simply love the attention.  Two minutes later I ask if I can film.  Guess what answer I always get...
