Veteran adult-film actor Jon Dough died yesterday from an apparent suicide...He was only 43..

Jon was one of my favorite guy pornstars.  I always thought of him as the "new" Jerry Butler, a guy who always seemed to be really into whoever he was doing.

He had some rough times over the last couple of years.  I remember reading on Lukeford.com that at one point he was living in his car...

Along with John Leslie, Randy West, Joey Silvera and a few others, he was one of the best.

He was a true pro and always fun to watch his scenes. It's damn shame.

how many of those well known male stars are still active in porn? From John Leslie, Ron Jeremy, Herschel Savage, Joey Silvera, Jerry Butler....do any of them still make movies?

Silvera and Leslie direct their own porn films, Savage still performs with Seymore Butts and is (was) living with Wanda Curtis. Heard a rumor a while ago that Butler after he left porn became and EMS driver in NYC. And Ron Jeremy is well...still Ron Jeremy.

Silvera and Leslie both shoot for Evil Angel. Leslie is strictly a director for the past 15-20 years, while Joey can be found occasionally performing in his movies to this day.

Ron and Herschel do (up until recently Herschel was married to Wanda Curtis(.  John Leslie and Joey Silvera now direct XXX movies, as does Paul Thomas for Vivid... so of your list, only Jerry Butler is out of the industry.  I ran into John Leslie, Randy West, Joey Silvera and Tom Byron at the Circle Bar in the Venetian during AVN a few years ago.

If I am not mistaken, he was married to Diedre Holland a number of years back. She was an ATF of mine.
