Going on their yearly vacation. Guy shops for the best package, hotel, air. So when he checks his bags at the terminal, bang, he get hit a baggage fee that was more then he expected. Really, what was the point with withdrawing this rule.. Oh I forgot,it was a Obama rule..I get it now.

It's a "proposed" rule made just as Obama was leaving office and never was enacted.

 
After reading the actual proposed rule, I am less likely to agree with you than after reading the headline. This regulation reads like many other Obama regulations, it's redundant, poorly written and It's timing looks to be yet another "fuck you" to business on his way out the door.

The fact that it technically was a "proposed rule" and not an actual "rule," while true, is totally beside the point.  Because it was already restraining airlines like Delta from imposing a bag fee on Economy ticket buyers.  And if you'd take then time to carefully read the article, you'd have noticed that Delta re-imposed the fee on Dec. 6th, three DAYS ago.  So your focus on the word "proposed" is a classic distinction without a difference because it was in effect.
See here, Wu, if you're going to try to be a bigger Pedantic Putz than Conan, for God's sake at least get it right.

First off Delta is not "re-imposing" anything this a a new fee as the article plainly states. Secondly, the fee was not going to be prohibited under the PROPOSED rule, it was only required that the fee be disclosed.

 
You are assuming "cause and effect" while the article only states that the two events coincide.  

 
I can't believe you feel qualified to lecture to anyone about not being able to read. Now please go back to arguing with FM until you can at least read at a third grade level.

You probably didn't even know about this un-enacted rule till this thread. Then you went to your bible, Breitbart and viola, you stumbled across their point of view...Look, it's besides the point of what I was trying to get to. and know of course I didn't know about this un-enacted rule until this thread, but before running off half cocked like the rest of you morons, I read the fucking rule before commenting on it.

If you had actually read the proposed rule, you would have seen it was the rule itself that was petty and cumbersome, it not only forced the airlines to disclose the fees, but to break it down on a leg by leg, bag by bag basis. Just another example of anti business, burdensome regulation that has been heaped upon businesses over the previous 8 years.
