Crist: GOP may be exaggerating voter fraud -- The Associated Press

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Florida's governor says his fellow Republicans may be exaggerating claims of voter fraud in the state.

Gov. Charlie Crist said Wednesday that he has confidence in Secretary of State Kurt Browning, who says there's only been a scattering of isolated incidents.

Crist said in the closing days of any campaign "there are some who sort of enjoy chaos." There may be more of that going on than fraud, he said.

The Republican National Committee and GOP presidential candidate John McCain have accused an activist group of fraudulently registering people in Florida and other states. It has focused on young people, minorities and others seen as more likely to support Democrat Barack Obama.

The kind you get from AP. Did the AP forget how to spell ACORN?

Costs were cited in this report (and I even give you a link), but I wonder if it was only costs.

So please enlighten us:  what "other" reason is there?

I said it was a crappy article and cited the reason why. They didn't name the activist group. Reason: ACORN had ebough bad publicty already.

About the Tribune announcement, maybe the Tribune doesn't like the quality of AP reporting anymore than I do.

You said it was "a crappy article" because they didn't mention ACORN by name.

You then said "but I wonder if it was only costs"  -- thereby implying that there are other reasons for AP being dropped.

SO I REPEAT:  what are the other reasons besides costs?

And as to the core issue of the article, it is still undisputed that Crist has offered a different perspective on the issue:

I never challenged anything you said. I never said you were wrong. I never said one word about Crist’s remarks. I commented on the quality of AP (your source).

Of course you didn't say I was wrong ... you IMPLIED the content was suspect because the source is, according to you, "crappy".   Why else would AP become the subject of discussion?

The AP writer was showing his stripes and bias by ignoring the name 'ACORN'. I simply pointed it out.
