Our military personnel flying "predator drones" from computer screens hundreds of miles away had to have obtained their basic skills somewhere, and it wasn't from Beanie-Babies.

I've seen the Navy train men, who had never flown a plane, become pilots of military aircraft of all sorts. I have no problem believing that can to the same regarding drone operators, though they may be hard pressed to find anyone who hasn't played video games.

Don't know much about the training of Navy pilots, but I do know that USAF drone pilots are exactly that...pilots. They go through the same initial training as those flying B-52's, F-15/16's, etc. Upon graduation from UPT, the drone pilots are selected, and sent to train for that. They are not happy campers. Of course, it's not to tough to fly a drone in Afghanistan from a trailer in Nevada for 8 hours, go home, pick up the wife and kids, and head to Olive Garden for dinner. Beats the hell out of eating MRE's in a tent.

I was not comparing the skills, discipline, education, dedication, training, and accreditation of a military "Drone" pilot to that of a penny arcade addict.

 I was only lampooning current topical controversy with the hypocrisies, ironies, and mixed messages fathered by (....fill in the blank....).  

I do believe he/she, most resembles a certain propagandist who peremeates this board...

complaining that no one has a sense of humor because they don't laugh at your routine, or don't even show up for the show. If we are not getting your point, or not responding, there's a good chance that it may be more about how you communicate than about our intelligence.
