IMO, everyone who either gets vaccinated or gets COVID is contributing to herd immunity and at the rate we are going the virus is going to run out of fresh meat soon. It isn't just Republicans that have fears of the safety of the vaccine. Many people of all political persuasions do.
So instead they'll settle on being assholes. That's why 6 percent of Democrats said they were likely to decline inoculation, 47 percent of Republicans said they were unlikely to get the vaccination. Let's be honest here, Republicans are just trying to stick it to the Biden administration. I get it, fuck over America, you fuck over Biden. This makes trump happy and he'll have an "I told you so" moment. And all the while take down as many as possible.
