Wisconsin is a key swing state in the upcoming election...

That's one reason why the GOP chose Milwaukee as the site of the Republican National Convention this summer.  It would give them a leg up on winning the state.

Naturally, Trump fucked it up.  He called Milwaukee "a horrible city."  Hmmm, did Trump make that cavalier remark because Milwaukee has a large Black population and a Black mayor?
Miwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson replied: "If Donald Trump wants to talk about things that he thinks are horrible, all of us lived through his presidency, so right back at you, buddy!"

...Sensationalism is the only thing they know."

At all times remember that willy is an idiot.  He believes the sensationalism of the New York Post:
"Murdoch outlets 'desperate': Claims that Biden wandered off at G7 summit debunked"
http://www.rawstory.com/joe-biden-g7/

What has not been debunked is that Trump is mentally unstable.  No one, and I mean NO ONE, has defended Trump for his remarks about sharks vs. electrocution.  I'm not talking about no one on TER; no righty in the whole world has defended Trump's insane ramblings.

Hey LostSon - how do you rate willy's post on the "BigP deflection scale?"  Does his post have anything to do with my OP?

Where are you getting that "Trump probably has Michigan" from??? Trump had  a 5+ point lead there just 4 months ago and now he "leads" by 0.3. Yes, zero point three. He is blowing it there. Joe actually has the lead or is tied in 4 out of the last 6 polls there per RCP so thing are clearly headed in the right direction for Joe.

From the most recent Michigan poll carried by RCP:

In a five-way trial ballot test Trump (46.3%) and Biden (45.1%) are separated by just one point two
percent followed by Natural Law Party candidate Robert F. Kennedy (3.3%), Green Party candidate
Jill Stein (0.5%) and independent Cornel West (1.1%)
Factoring in past polls, the Biden and Trump average works out to a virtual tie. Unless Biden can significantly improve his approval numbers come November, I see Trump winning Michigan.

Look below. The state is a toss up. Biden doesn't have to raise his approval numbers at all in that scenario let along "significantly improve" them. The state is trending Joes way since February and by FIVE full points.

Of course I read it. But any poll showing MN as flippable, whether it’s an internal poll or not, is worth paying some attention to!

Hillary only beat Trump by 1.6% in 2016 in Minnesota.  And other parties scarfed up 7%.  And remember Hillary was crushing Trump in national polls. The last time Minnesota went for the Republican prez was Nixon in '72. This would be an upset for sure.

RCP only lists one poll for Minnesota, so we don’t have an average to look at yet.

http://www.realclearpolling.com/polls/president/general/2024/minnesota/trump-vs-biden-vs-kennedy

But Trump has a higher approval rating than Biden, leads with Independents, and is pulling 20% of the POC voters.  Biden has a 3.9% lead in the poll (within the margin of error), but his numbers with Independents and POC (he really needs to hold Trump to just 15%) show that he vulnerable in Minnesota.

Trump leads by 18 in Iowa in the latest poll and Indiana is never in play as it is a very red state.

No Democrat has gotten under 40% in Iowa since 1980. Biden at 32% would be the worst D performance there since 1924.

🟦 Joe Biden 32%
