END OF MESSAGE

Imagine the waste involved in using an economic model that assumes that the earth is an infinite resource as well as an infinite trashcan.

Imagine how much profit can be made if you can transform such a system into a closed loop sustainable system.

Doubt anything is going to get done here because of the various lobbies. The argument would be that there is enough fossil fuel for next 50,000 years why do anything now. You are also talking about people that doesn't believe burning fossil fuel doesn't cause any problem.

of this green energy? When are you going to stop working for the government and actually work toward this tremendous potential?

I can agree with you about this; the potential is there.

Why not avail yourself of your smarts and DO something about what you admire here?

to willy? He breaks out into a cold sweat whenever he hears that word, lol.

I like Jolene, but that wasn't very good judgement. lol

I liked it better when she said she was an "unrepetant whore", I like unrepetant whores. lmao

of thinking that Willy might be sensible and worth talking to. I should have known better. He STILL doesn't realize that every time he puts down a business person, he's biting the hand that feeds him.

and not from watching reruns on Nickelodeon.

I also hate to admit, at the time I identified a lot more with Maynard than I did the clean cut Dobie Gillis.

but like most of us from that drug addled generation, the bills came due and "someone" had to pay them.

Zelda. You remember Zelda? She turned into a really really fat lesbian, and is the California State Senator representing the City of Santa Monica. I mean the The People's Republic of Santa Monica.

Oh yeah, that drug addled generation are homeless, and still living the good life in Santa Monica.

Good thing I preferred Thalia, played by the bodacious Tuesday Weld.

I could have picked her out of lineup. Now Tuesday Weld was hot. So was Joey Heatherton, Ann Margaret and Racquel Welch.

also managed to catch the Playboy mansion flu associated with that event.

...Hope you're feeling better now.  My guess is it was an airborne STD.  You gotta watch where you put your mouth when you're at The Mansion.

Wasn't it Zelda who'd twitch her nose and Dobie's nose would do the same thing?

and I believe Dobie (Dwayne) would respond, "stop that." Sheila Kuehl (Zelda) was not that bad looking in a tomboy kinda way. Duh, a key lesbian leading indicator. That's way leading indicators are better than lagging indicators (lol).

This might be bad parenting on my side, but I tell my son, "if you are even remotely thinking about marrying your current girlfriend, stop, then take a good look at her mother. There is a good chance that's what she will look like in 30 years. If that doesn't do it, check her FICO score."

Zelda is a perfect example of why you try to look into the future.

More advice to kids: before you marry her, watch her take a shit.  If, after that and looking at her mom, you still want to marry her, go for it.  But don't complain to me later!

"watch her take a shit"? WTF for? My first wife's mom was hot! Perhaps I should have watched my cunt ex-wife take a shit.

the statue of The Thinker to solve his problems.

I always assumed there was just one statue of the Thinker.

Many years later, when I was living in Paris, I went to the Rodin museum and discovered that he had reproduced The Thinker in many sizes.

In the back yard of that museum there was an old broken Thinkercoveted with vines. I remember standing in front of that and thinking not about great art but about Dobie Gills and Maynard G. Krebs.

...if private industry wanted my talents, then I would make it available to them. But I'll be damned if I'm going to use the sweat of my brow to enrich them at my expense. Until then, I'll be more than happy to fuck them as much as possible.

But that doesn't mean that I can't contribute to the solution with what little resources I have. It's why I'm working on turning my suburban back yard into a closed loop farm. I already grow my own food, and plan on quadrupling my food production this summer.

But for capitalists like GaG to talk to me about work is pretty fucking funny. I'm sure he strains his finger every day shuffling stacks of paper around.

WW I assume you have another  source of income for hobbying besides your closed-loop farm (which I actually think is a great thing, though I suspect GaG might call it "a Fruit Loop farm).  But please let me know if you can get a provider to accept a bushel of zucchini as payment for services rendered.  I'm trying to imagine you trundling though the lobby of the gal's incall hotel carrying that!  LOL!

"Fruit Loop" farm, that's rich. rofl

As for me being a "capitalist", I worked hard to be able to "not work", It's all about paying your dues. Problem with many people is that they want to start at the top without having earned the right.

FYATWYRIO !  LOL!
Translation: Fuck You and the Whore You Rode in On!
Oops! I should have said the Unrepentant Whore You Rode in On!

about you two guys crossing swords.

I don't like that one bit.

Now who has the "detective skills" on the Board and experience in this area to handle a delicate matter like this?

I'm sure I'll think of someone.....

...nicky, it's no secret here on this board how I make the majority of my income. It's also not a secret that I have a few small businesses. Farming is something I recently got into thanks to JohnGalt, and my only goal is to lower my grocery bill and provide myself with better tasting and healthier food. Should I have a significant surplus, there's always the local farmer's market that's down the street from me, and that's if I don't just say fuck it, and give it away to neighbors.

You should try this Nicky. It takes a minimal amount of labor, and you'll get food that makes the shit you buy at the store taste like cardboard. I've started growing grapes and blueberries, which I've been making into organic homebrew wine, which a few providers have enjoyed with me. Eventually, I'm going to knock down a few trees, and plant a half dozen peach trees in my back yard to make a peach wine. It'll also attract bees which will pollinate the rest of my garden. :) The goal is to cover my back yard with planeter boxes so that I don't have to waste any petrol and time cutting my grass in the back yard. In other words, I'm turning costs into profits.

Thanks, WW, just havin' some fun.  Actually, I have at times grown my own  vegetables but gave up at my current place because the location of the garden didn't provide enough light to grow shit. And I am too lazy to start another one.  Also, there's very good farmers market barely a mile away.

buy some organic food from some established organic farms? Closed loop is great but it can't be just you doing it. Also it is difficult to scale a closed loop system, it would have to evolve into multiple complementary synergistic closed loops. Still it would be difficult to pay a provider with home grown veggies. She might go for a half pound of pot though. LOL
