You mention the 1 million shots a week pledge but fail to mention under Biden it's become around 3 million a week. Because he's gotten the military involved and other measures. Yes, under Trump we'd have gotten to 1 million a week. But 3 million? No way.

Then you change the subject to "catch and release." Except most of them aren't being released. There are more than 3,000 kids in custody today. And, yes, that's a real problem.

In the early days of Covid, PPE's were hard to come by and each state was battling each other for the supplies. Shipments were being hijacked and being over paid by states. States were going offshore to support their needs. It was total chaos. There was corruption with no overview...That was trumps plan, to not have the federal govt get involved and let the states have it out.And as I recall that was a mess. He washed his hands of Covid even back then.
Then once the Vaccines were approved, the trump "plan" was to have 20M vaccinated by the end of Dec. What actually turned out was that 4M only got vaccinated, From Dec 14 on till the end of year.
Now there's a central hub, where the purchases of the vaccine and its distributions are being monitored. there is a coordinated effort here and none of that craziness that we had with the PPE's.
This wouldn't have happened under the prior administration....they just didn't want to be bothered.

Look up the history of the development of mRNA vaccines. Scientists have been working on them for more than 20 years. The template for the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines already existed and was just waiting to be used. Once they received the gene sequencing of the virus from the Chinese it took them only a few weeks to develop the vaccine. Since then it's just been doing the testing.

Streamlined vaccine development arose from decades of basic research funded by the US Gov (NIH, CDC, NSF, DoD, etc.). Trump tried to slash R&D budgets every one of his 4 years  but was overridden by Congress. Trump disbanded the Pandemic Team put in  place by Obama. Trump withdrew US scientific researchers embedded at Wuhan who would have been able to get a better handle on what was developing in late 2019. Trump pushed hydroxychloroquine based on anecdotal evidence; science based studies have shown no benefit from HCQ.  If Trump had been in charge, he would have had the CDC testing bleach injections and UV light bulb suppositories. Without pushback, Trump's policies and actions would have SLOWED vaccine and other developments. Trump's life was saved by science despite Trump's attempts to undermine and subvert the science.

If Trump didn't loosen the laws in regaurds to getting the vaccination to MARKET.  It would still be going thru trial after trial.   That is how the FDA does things.    Look at pre-covid it takes a drug/vaccine about 10 years to get to marker.
