If Trump didn't loosen the laws in regaurds to getting the vaccination to MARKET. It would still be going thru trial after trial. That is how the FDA does things. Look at pre-covid it takes a drug/vaccine about 10 years to get to marker.
Trump lifted those regulations so things can get moving. Also like others have stated.... he turned down Pzer for the extra right away because other companies were developing vaccines as well. Why by all your eggs from one company??? When others might be better. Think of it.... trying to distribute a "two" shot vaccine compared to what J&J are bringing.... a one and done. It will get the country vaccinated a hell of alot quicker. BTW.... under TRump and his lifting of some of the FDA regs... also allowed these companies to have others produce their vaccines with out going thru the process of starting over. So before you just completely fall apparent to TDS you need to look at some of the cold hard facts on how meds used to PRE COVID get developed and what actually Trump did to help speed this along. Yes getting the millitary and federal sites is helping speed all of this up. That is because before the STATES were fucking it up big time. While some states were doing great at delivery others were not.It was a good number to start....Then it hit 2M in a seven day span..wow, ok....Then on Saturday it hit 2.9M vaccines...Now I'm impressed. Can the rolling avg get to 3M a day?? At that rate by the end of summer, we'll be back to a very normal.

You mention the 1 million shots a week pledge but fail to mention under Biden it's become around 3 million a week. Because he's gotten the military involved and other measures. Yes, under Trump we'd have gotten to 1 million a week. But 3 million? No way.

In the early days of Covid, PPE's were hard to come by and each state was battling each other for the supplies. Shipments were being hijacked and being over paid by states. States were going offshore to support their needs. It was total chaos. There was corruption with no overview...That was trumps plan, to not have the federal govt get involved and let the states have it out.And as I recall that was a mess. He washed his hands of Covid even back then.
Then once the Vaccines were approved, the trump "plan" was to have 20M vaccinated by the end of Dec. What actually turned out was that 4M only got vaccinated, From Dec 14 on till the end of year.
Now there's a central hub, where the purchases of the vaccine and its distributions are being monitored. there is a coordinated effort here and none of that craziness that we had with the PPE's.
This wouldn't have happened under the prior administration....they just didn't want to be bothered.

That Trump fell short of the 20 million vaccinations by the end of 2020, however, It is irrefutable that Trump had a plan.
Keep in mind when vaccinations began there was only one vaccine available, then a few weeks later there were two, so of course at the start of the process the per day numbers were lower that now. Also as with any plan, especially one this big, there will be a few kinks to iron out and they were ironed out quickly.
Also it is a fact that in the weeks before the inauguration, still under the Trump administration/plan over one million vaccinations per day were being given.
