Are they a sample of all gun deaths murder, self inflicted (intentional unintentional)
,hunting accidents, police involved (civilian and LE) ? I would guess this is a total estimate
of all gun deaths.

But then again most guns are relatively safe for the user, and automobiles still prove extremely lethal to those they hit or run over.

Obviously this is due to the fact police officers, spend more time with the seat belt on. than they do with the saftey off. That and the general public has much easier access to automobiles.
