He has conceded that Trump will almost certainly not win NJ (EVERY other political prediction firm has NJ blue right now) and he missed the poll showing Harris leading Trump in VA by 4. The purpose of the map was not to cheerlead one candidate or the other. The purpose was to link the vote results come November, with the polls throughout the year, to see how they both align. It’s an ongoing experiment in poll accuracy. This is why the map only uses 538, and only uses the most recent poll listed on that site.
I repeat, the purpose of the map is to examine poll accuracy come November. Or should any shenanigans happen come election night, we have documented polling each month to contrast and compare. Just as exit polling is used to gauge election integrity, I’m using 538 for the same purpose, by taking monthly snapshots of where things are.
